  • Pry bar
Size: 16 inch
An awesome tool for the renovater. It's a pry bar+. The next generation of pry bars. Does what every other bar and does it better. Not great if you want to save trim but if you're careful it can be done. Really a tool for rough work. Easy to handle and very multi functional. My one complaint is the weight. It's like twice the weight of its traditional competitors, but along the line of those offered with more modern designs like dead- on and Stanley. Really the best of the modern designed bars. There was thought put into this. The Stanley fubar is a useless toy for show and the dead- on won't last a week of serious use. Believe me I've OWNED (emphasizing past tense) them. This is the only modern pry bar design that actually works. Excellent for a residential remodeler. Not sure about it's durability on an I.C.I. Site I haven't taken it to one yet. Definitely too much for a DYI. I especially like the fact it had minimal marketing. It lets the product speak for itself. Unlike its competitors who are all hype and nothing more. ... show more

  • This is a great tool. Does everything as advertized
Size: 24 inch
This is a great tool. Does everything as advertized. Adjustable to pull those long nails. Open jaw to grab studs to twist them to straighten the stud out for nailing. Spin the tool around and use back end as a quick hammer. I bought the 24" model, (spend the extra $ over the 18", I think it's worth it) it's long enough to act as a demo tool to pull down/break up plaster/drywall. I purchased this along with a few other tools to do a demo job and I'm very please with all of them. I spent around $100 total and it's saved me hours and minimized damage to my wood trim. • Your coworker's/friends & family will steal it!
Size: 30 inch
This thing is amazing! I lift the legs of fully loaded 12' tall steal pallet racking to get movers under them, I can't count how many different uses I have found for this! And it's never let me down! The gears in the adjustable head are indestructible! I also have a 16" adjustable bar for small spaces ! Ny team always has it for something & I have to track it down if I want to use it, put on a semi tire, break open crates, pull nails, lift anything! You name it, it will do it! ... show more

  • Very Nice
Size: 24 inch
Greatly designed and excellent quality. I can see tool being very helpful with house or room demolition. The adjustable claws allow for the right size openings to grab studs, pipes, furniture, etc. The wider the jaw spread, the more leverage needed. If there's a weak area in the design of this tool, it's the handle length. It could stand to be a little longer to help with that extra leverage. Having said that, I can see the benefit of the tool NOT having a longer handle. The added length would create some limitations with accessing some tighter areas. If additional leverage is needed, a cheater pipe could easily be slid over the handle - just make sure you know the limits of the tool's strength vs breaking point to prevent injury. Love it! Great job Crescent! ... show more

  • Powerful demo tool
Size: 24 inch
This tool is perfect for removing old, heavy duty nails. The nail puller makes removing large nails easier on your body as the head gives you the extra leverage. The pry end really digs in and separates wood easily. The push-button to lower the nail puller seems a little cheap (controlled by a thin spring), but I'll update this review if it fails. The good news is it's sturdy, but the trade off is the heavy weight. It's just too heavy for continuous use. You will probably want the much lighter Crescent NP11 nail puller for regular use. ... show more

  • Great tool!
Size: 30 inch
I'll start my review by revealing I am a tool junkie, so I bought this tool because it seemed like a good idea but mostly because I didn't have one! I also don't write reviews until I actually use the tool. I put the tool through a bunch of demolition projects over the last week and it performed well.I tried every position of the pry head. using hand leverage and also hitting the head with a 24 oz framing hammer and the tool performed well. I was going to buy both the 18" and 30" length, but wanted to try the tool first. The 30" length allows you to get good leverage, and it can be used with one hand, so if you only buy one version, buy the 30" length. The rubber hand grip is a great idea if you use the tool in cold weather of if you are using the tool one handed, but it might get damaged in certain prying situations. ... show more

  • Buy this!
Size: 30 inch
The ability to change the angle makes it versatile. Longer size made taking down a lath ceiling a breeze. Very sturdy. I couldn't be happier with this tool. Update! More tear down since my last review. Still thrilled with my purchase. Some of the spots I had to pry were in odd spots. The tool worked perfectly. I'm almost sad the tear down is over. ... show more

  • Great design, perfect size/length for pulling larger nails
Size: 30 inch
I have the Crescent deck wrecker tool plus various sizes of claw hammers and "Wonder Bar" type pry bars. The deck wrecker is great for prying up boards, but useless for pulling nails, unless they are already sticking out an inch or more, and is too big/heavy to use as just a nail puller for any length of time. The hammers and wonder bars don't have enough leverage, so pulling a lot of big nails is difficult and slow with any of those. This 30" bar is a perfect solution for pulling larger nails plus a lot of other prying chores. The indexing feature is useful... and then some, and is very sturdy, I have no worries about it breaking even under heavy stress. Excellent demolition tool that filled my need perfectly. If you only need to pull smaller nails I think the smaller 18" version of would also be useful, but maybe(?) not a huge improvement over a less expensive flat Wonder Bar. ... show more
