Description

The Crescent Indexing Flat Pry Bar features a 90-degree flat head for better access and wider support when prying against surfaces. The head indexes over 180 degrees and locks into 15 different positions for unparalleled access and utility. The raised, reinforced wedge on the back of the indexing head provides a solid striking surface to hit for loosening and penetration. It is completed with a durable two-tone dual material grip that provides comfort, control, and added safety during use or transport around the jobsite.

This is a great tool. Does everything as advertized. Adjustable to pull those long nails. Open jaw to grab studs to twist them to straighten the stud out for nailing. Spin the tool around and use back end as a quick hammer. I bought the 24" model, (spend the extra $ over the 18", I think it's worth it) it's long enough to act as a demo tool to pull down/break up plaster/drywall. I purchased this along with a few other tools to do a demo job and I'm very please with all of them. I spent around $100 total and it's saved me hours and minimized damage to my wood trim. This thing is amazing! I lift the legs of fully loaded 12' tall steal pallet racking to get movers under them, I can't count how many different uses I have found for this! And it's never let me down! The gears in the adjustable head are indestructible! I also have a 16" adjustable bar for small spaces ! Ny team always has it for something & I have to track it down if I want to use it, put on a semi tire, break open crates, pull nails, lift anything! You name it, it will do it! ... show more

Greatly designed and excellent quality. I can see tool being very helpful with house or room demolition. The adjustable claws allow for the right size openings to grab studs, pipes, furniture, etc. The wider the jaw spread, the more leverage needed. If there's a weak area in the design of this tool, it's the handle length. It could stand to be a little longer to help with that extra leverage. Having said that, I can see the benefit of the tool NOT having a longer handle. The added length would create some limitations with accessing some tighter areas. If additional leverage is needed, a cheater pipe could easily be slid over the handle - just make sure you know the limits of the tool's strength vs breaking point to prevent injury. Love it! I must be using it wrong. I worked 7 years as a laborer in construction mostly remodels. Adjustable Pry Bar, Nail Puller , but i can't tell when it will adjust? This tool is wonderful! We tore up our hardwood floors, due to extremely poor installation, to install hardwood laminate. These tools tore the floors up beautifully and smoothly! Even the planks that were glued down were no match for this tool. The option to adjust the angle gave that extra oomph when needed and helped get that perfect grab in the tighter spaces. I have the Crescent deck wrecker tool plus various sizes of claw hammers and "Wonder Bar" type pry bars. The deck wrecker is great for prying up boards, but useless for pulling nails, unless they are already sticking out an inch or more, and is too big/heavy to use as just a nail puller for any length of time. The hammers and wonder bars don't have enough leverage, so pulling a lot of big nails is difficult and slow with any of those. This 30" bar is a perfect solution for pulling larger nails plus a lot of other prying chores. The indexing feature is useful... and then some, and is very sturdy, I have no worries about it breaking even under heavy stress. Excellent demolition tool that filled my need perfectly. If you only need to pull smaller nails I think the smaller 18" version of would also be useful, but maybe(?) not a huge improvement over a less expensive flat Wonder Bar. ... show more

Very versatile tool! Make you feel like Tim the Tool Man Taylor! I had to force myself to stop using it on my deck. I started pulling boards out that were perfectly fine just to show my brothers how well it works! It cost me more than I should have spent to replace about 8 boards and had to buy 12 to fix the damage cause by showing off this tool! I should have charged my brothers for the demonstrations!
