  • Creed
Wow, wow, wow!!! This was such a good book with a deep story. Finding out that your father is a pedophile is a whole other level of evil. Silas was as evil as they come and he didn't have any remorse for what he did. Creed, on the other hand, made him and the rest like him pay for their deeds. He simply wasn't having it. Meeting Sloane and hearing her speak so passionately about saving black boys made him seek her out. He knew immediately that she was his one. They both had childhood traumas but were determined to make this world a better place. They both spent so much time running and trying to live up to their father (Creed) and mother (Sloane) never truly finding where they belonged or fit in. However, being together gave them a sense of home. Fantastic story!!!! ... show more

  • Intense
This is my first by N'Dia Rae., but it will not be my last . The plot was an interesting concept on a dark subject, but it flowed well. It's worth the purchase.

  • Creed
I loved this book and how Creed didn’t play about Sloan. The book was a love story with many twists and turns. I would recommend reading this book.

  • something’s missing.
I love this authors work. This book is full of suspense and drama and lots of surprises. However, I feel like some chapters were missing. Somewhere between chapter 9 and 11 something went missing in the storyline. The storyline was great however. That missing part had me asking questions.

  • good book
The story was really good… I hated that she still over shared her personal business about her man even after jasmina! And the settings could transition a little better but quick read very good twist.

  • the DRAMA
The drama was teaaaa. It was a little slow, but the drama was really good. I was GAGGED about her brother. And Kaori really had her nerves. I was glad they both got dealt with although it would’ve been nice to read a little bit more about her brother and what he went through. That mother of theirs was pure evil and I wish she would’ve gotten hers too. I did think it was a bit interesting how quickly Sloane was able to kill or accept killing so easily. She didn’t give the vibe that she’d be that way with no remorse or no struggle but I guess the justifications made sense. I definitely think the father either did something to Havoc or he knew about it with how he was acting and his reaction to the father being killed. So I’m intrigued to hear his story. Overall I think the story was good but I couldn’t give it a 5 because it felt certain stories or emotions were missing. Not a lot of errors so it wasn’t a struggle read. Just a little slow. ... show more

  • Ok so yeah
All I have to say is this needs to be turned into a movie ASAP. I believe this is my 1st read by this author and I am about to tear through her catalog. 1st introduction to her was a banger. Well done ma'am, well done.
