It's a great way to see all of the different components for a sensory bin and definitely got my mind turning on what other things I could use. All of the materials are good quality. The astronaut doesn't have the cleanest detail but it works. I'm not sure how the bin will hold up, it's a little thinner than Sterlite but an easy solution if it cracks. My son loves this. He is autistic and he plays quietly with it. He does tend to put the water beads on the sand side and it's messy but once he's done, I collect all the water beads and rinse them.

My 4-year-old daughter loves space, so the Outerspace version is perfect for her. She has enjoyed playing with it, however, the media (aquarium gravel) just barely covers the bottom surface in a single layer.
