The kit comes with all the supplies you'll need. I only needed to grab a pair of scissors to make small openings in the sand bags. Things to note: the "fur" pieces have a two sided glue - I spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to get the backing off to make it stick. Felt pretty dumb when I realized what it was. Pack the sand by gently tapping the bottom on the table a few times throughout filling the bottle. I did it each time we poured a different color. The stickers are very sticky. My toddler wanted to move one after it stuck and it wasn't very easy to peel off. Yes, my 2 year old got to place most of the stickers. The snowman bottle is plastic. The penguin is porcelain, I think. The top of the snowman bottle has a small red lid that does screw on. It's not childproof. I don't think my 2 yr old will be able to unscrew it but older children probably can. I really don't have any complaints about this kit. It was fun and I didn't need to dig out any other craft supplies to complete the project. From start to finish, it filled about 30 minutes of time with just one child being helped. This snowman sand art kit would make a great "shut-in" afternoon activity, on a snowy day. Just layering sand and then decorating with stickers, but you end up with a cute personalized decoration that your child will be proud of and want to bring out every year with the holiday decor. Good quality parts, sticky stickers, and "real" fur, just watch out for sand messes, so adult supervision is recommended, especially depending on the age of the crafter. For about 10 bucks, it's a nice way to spend a couple screen-free hours, and the result is a "forever" decoration, so worth it in my opinion! ... show more

Yes Anna, we want to build a snowman! This is a cute all in one kit, we didn't build it in the box as instructions suggested because our box seemed to open flat and well sand... so we used or mini sand table to contain the sand. The contents were all there, the snowman is plastic and we tapped it to get each layer of sand to level out between pours (using the included funnel). The stickers were place once and make sure it's where you want them to be because they are not moving again. The penguin is cute but seems breakable just a heads up as it is so not plastic. This is just the kind of thing my 11-year-old loves to do. This is a sand art kit that you fill with blue & white sand in whatever arrangement you want. You can also decorate the snowman with pom pom balls, glitter stickers, fuzzy fabric pieces, a sticker face & clothes, and it comes with a little penguin too. It comes with a funnel and they suggest using the box when you are filling the snowman to cut down on the mess. You can also use a paper plate, which is what we did. This is more winter themed than Christmas, which I like (the hat does kind of look like a Santa hat). The snowman was so cute, I got the Christmas tree too. I got this for my daughter (6) for Christmas time however, she was sick with a cold yesterday and stayed home from school. And during her day off, she decided to work on this. Unfortunately, since I wasnt here to watch her do this, I dont know about ton about it. But, I do know, that a 6 year old put this together mostly by herself. She only had a little help getting the sand in and then some glue and that was about it. Overall, it looks great, everything seems well made and the instructions are easy to follow, if not unnecessary. Tip, pack the sand as tight as you can, it'll be less likely to move around and you'll keep the cool looking swirl pattern for longer. ... show more

Set comes with everything needed for a fun afternoon building a snowman even in hot n hotter South Texas. Well assorted - the actual snowman figure is made of plastic (a little cheap) and the little penguin is made of glass? - The snowman is about hand size tall with a “screw-top” lid, and I would make sure it is safely placed not to tip over and drop out all the sand. - The stickers, once placed are very difficult if at all, removable. - This is a one time craft project. The original value was set at $21 - which is way overpriced but it seems now adjusted to a more reasonable price. 🌟Verdict🌟 => 4 STARS ⭐️ -> (*My RATE SCALE*: 5=perfect; 4=minor imperfections; 3=on fence; not sure if I’d buy again; 2= too many problems; 1= shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous). ... show more
