I have a bay window and a neighbor who can see inside my house at night through it. These curtains give me a lot more privacy than the sheer curtains I had before! The curtains are black on the inside and light grey on the outside. The picture in the description looks more sheer than the actual product. I do not close the curtain during the day so I don't care for the black out feature when the sun is out - only at night when the lights are on inside and people can see inside my house. ... show more

I got the Ivory for a green room. They really do look fantastic. The texture is nice. The window looks out into a shady area, so the light filtering is perfect. They aren't really room darkening or even semi blackout though so be aware. No odors. I did not wash or iron and they straightened out very nicely after a few days. Do recommend! ... show more

I really like the fabric on these. I ironed them out of the package, and they look lovely. I used a medium-hot temp with steam on the iron, and in some places I also used a sheet over the fabric just to protect from any discoloration the iron might cause. I got the lighter green sage and they are a soft, minimalistic accent to a guest room. The olive green might have blocked out more light, these are not actually "darkening" curtains, they are just window coverings, but I still really like them. I chose the back tabs for hanging. I got a length that was a little long but I just raised up the curtain rod a little higher and they look good. My guest room only has one window and these worked perfectly. I ordered the "Ivory Room Darkening Curtains 84 Inch Length for Living Room 2 Panel Back Tab Pocket Semi Blackout Drapes Light Filtering Natural Linen Textured Off White Curtains for Bedroom Country Rustic Farmhouse" for a bedroom that is being redone in black and white. Because it is a bedroom, I intended to have drapes that would block light - particularly since the sun rises on that side of the house. These do block some light, but not as much as I wanted for the space. The curtains themselves are very pretty and I like them a lot. The fabric has a great texture. which is what I like most about this set, as much of the fabric I've used in my house is (faux) linen. These curtains would work well paired with another set and could work as the "sheer" or as the "main" curtain, depending on what look/feel you were going for. I'm considering leaving them up as sheers and hanging some heavy, fully light-blocking, curtains as the top layer so I can have the best of both. Ultimately, no real complaints aside from me misjudging how much 50% is when referencing allowable light. I personally think a more accurate description would be "light filtering." These curtains are available for $30.99 (reg. $37.99) as I type this review (with an additional 5% off coupon) and I feel they are a reasonable value for that price. ... show more
