  • Does what it says on the tin.
Style: Size2&Size3
I've seen a lot of people that have gotten bent brackets, though luckily I did not; they were all proper 90 degrees bent. Had they been pinched, I could always bend them back into form, not a huge deal, but I get it; should be perfect from factory new. My kit arrived new, with no apparent tampering. Worked straight-out, no issues. As expected an working. I also received a proper-sized bolt for the X axis for my Ender 3 Pro. I've heard that some are too short to engage the locknut, but mine was fine. My advise is to carry an assortment of common nut an bolt kits for your hobby, as this will be a huge investment to your 3D printing career in general, along with some 608 bearings, threadlocker, JST connector kit with crimper, an assortment of heatshrink. These are "must-haves" in my opinion. If there was one criticism, I would like to have seen larger adjustment wheels, as the ones included are a bit small. Not that it would effect anything, but it would be less torque to adjust is all. I am designing larger adjustment nuts at the moment, should be up on Thingaverse in the next week or so. Overall, no issues, did what it claims, an I don't see a need to mess with it at all until a belt change is necessary. Speaking of belts, it's always a good idea to stock a spare or two of wear parts in your toolbox such as belts, nozzles, Bowden tube (even with direct drive, some do use a small piece), an thermistors. Would buy again IF I received what I did this time around. ... show more

  • Adjustment Screw a Little short for my printer. Would buy it again if needed.
Style: Size2&Size3
Works great, just needed a long adjustment screw. The one that came with it didnt work with my Ender 3 v2. Luckly i keep a selection of Metric and Standard Screws, Nuts, Washers, and etc.

  • Solved an Ender 3 V2 weakeness

Original tensioners were weak plastic that broke. This metal upgrade solved the problem

  • Bottom piece doesn't fit a normal Ender 3
Style: Size2&Size3
Bottom piece doesn't fit a normal Ender 3. Make sure you double check your model. Maybe it works on the V2 (which I thought I had) but it doesn't on the base Ender 3. 1 out of 2 fit though, so top piece is all good and for the price can't complain much.

  • The Y axis is the right size for the Ender 3 Pro. X axis was too tight and the bolt was too short.
Style: Size2&Size3
I bought a kit like this in blue from another manufacturer. I didn't read it closely enough and the Y-Axis tensioner didn't fit the Ender 3 pro. (it was 2020 profile meaning the the aluminum extrusion is measured at 20mm x20mm) What I really needed was a 4040 profile and luckily this came with the right size for both Y and X. I thought if I went with the Creality part, it would be pretty nice quality. In many ways this is true. The X tension has 2 bearings in it that when put together make a neat spot for the belt to ride on. The only issue is that the X tensioner had a bolt that was too short. When I received it, the nut was so tight that it wouldn't move. I tried to work it and eventually loosened it a bit. They were smart to put a nut that locks in place but since the bolt was too short, it didn't make it to the top where the plastic locking portion would do anything. I took a picture of the bolt that came with it. I wish I would have photographed it before I put the new bolt in. It is just a little too short. Maybe a little less than1/4" short of what it should have been. (just about 6mm if that helps) I thought I might try to just leave it loose but when I moved the tensioner back and forth I noticed the nut turning and I thought it might work its way loose. That is the last thing I need. It would probably happen 5 hours into a 6 hour print. To fix it, I went to the garage and searched through my leftover nuts and bolts that I have saved up over the years. I did find a bolt that was longer and the nut fit it well. I put that combination in and gave it the perfect amount of tension. The tensioner knob seems pretty flimsy. The rest seems very nice. If I find a nicer knob that fits those threads, I may swap them out at some point. ... show more

  • There's a trick to installing it
Style: Size2&Size3
First of all, this helps keep the drive belt on a 3D printer taut. It works really well. And it is easy to install -- once you know how. But don't try to do it like I did. (You'll probably be smarter than I was, so I may not be telling you anything.) I tried to put the thing on while the bet was still attached to the printer head. That meant disassembling the belt tensioner. I couldn't reassemble it when it was in place. Then I realized that the belt could be removed from the printer head and fed around the assembled tensioner before being reattached to the printer head. That was MUCH easier. ... show more

  • Great addition to the Ender 3 Pro
Style: Size2&Size3
So when the X-Axis belt on my Ender 3 Pro broke, I took the opportunity to upgrade the X and Y axis belt tensioner from the standard units to these adjustable ones. While there were no installation instructions in the box, there really is no need. On the X-Axis, the old unit has 4 screws that go directly into the crossmember. With the new unit, there are 4 screw/T-Nut combinations that you slide into the lower channel on the crossmember and tighten up. The Y-Axis was two screws and sliding the old off and the new on. Then, loosen the allen screws on each unit holding the adjustable bearing into place and tighten both belts up. I had always wondered if I had properly tightened the belts when I assembled it years ago, and looking on line there were several videos on just how tight the belts should be. Having the ability to easily adjust the tension has been great and my prints are coming out better than ever. A great addition to a great printer. ... show more

  • Does the job well.
Style: Size2&Size3
These are some of the cheaper options on the market, but they work well. If you have difficulty tensioning belts, I cannot recommend these more. 4 starts only because they had a lot of play, but that does not affect normal operation.
