The cheap-o "art easel" from the chinese included even more cheapo colored pencils. But they were so cheap-o, that the picture of the colored pencils on the tube of colored pencils didn't even match the cheapo colored pencils inside. My daughter, being a genius, noticed there was no white pencil like on the picture on the tube. Being 2.5 years old, I could not explain to her that the chinese picked a random stock photo that in no way matched the contents. In fact, the picture showed the colored pencils being the color of the lead, e.g. the white pencil was white. The cheapo ones were all tan with brittle colored graphite. Lol I said lead when I meant graphite, then graphite when it's probably lead knowing who sold it. I swapped out the cheapo ones for these and acted like I was the hero who found the white pencil. ... show more

The colored pencils are excellent. Crayola is a great brand, so I was confident about my purchase even though I've never tried their colored pencils before, but these pencils have met my expectations. They don't break, the color last several uses and the colors are just as specified. I got it for my couture pattern class, great buy. I have always preferred Crayola colored pencils for basic colored pencils. They are nice enough for beginning art and are great for the kids. We purchased for homework use, craft use and homeschool use. The colors are bright and the pencils sharpen nicely unlike some of the less expensive brands of pencils. ... show more

I didn't have any colored pencils and they suddenly were not available in stores locally; I think it's the big adult coloring craze that has been making colored pencils go in high demand. These are good for kids for sure. They're not so fussy about having more colors to blend with or to get more details or varied colors; they just need a quick pack of colored pencils to do a school project or to just doodle with and these work great for that. That is what they are intended for, hence, Crayola being known for crayons/kids items. This was also a better price than I had seen them for on empty store racks where they once were displayed. Wonderful colored pencils I have nothing to compare these pencils to as I never really use colored pencils, I got these just to easily keep things color coded for myself. Crayola is a well trusted brand and I am happy with my purchase. I received a discount to write an honest unbiased review.

Crayola is the best crayons and colored pencils. They come sharpened and work well in my adult coloring book. I am very pleased with them, even though the box of pencils opened during shipment and was scattered through the box it was shipped in. No pencils were broken.
