I just always wanted to be an artist, I don't have a lot of natural ability but with practice I end up drawing some things well enough. It's work so I wanted a more enjoyable way to have a lot of detail on my crafts without spending years honing my drawing abilities. Come silicone molds and this clay!!!! It's really soft and lends itself to molding details really well. It doesn't work well with small pieces that connect, like a tiny leg on a horse or prongs of a crown but I am not sure this clay is intended for that. I also need to learn how to use these molds better. It's a big bucket and I have made about 20 little molded pieces up to 3.5 " each without making much of a dent. It's economical enough that if I ruin a piece, I don't feel like I have to spend time fixing or gluing it. I just toss and start over (well unless it's an easy fix). Crafts for me are supposed to be fun and place me in relaxation mode. This clay makes that possible. ... show more

I've worked with polymer clay for a couple years now, and wanted to give air dry clay a shot. It's very different! I'm still experimenting with it as I just recently received it the other day, but I did some tutorial watching beforehand so I could learn how to prevent the cracks and crumbles that a lot of the reviews warned about. The secret is water! (and patience) I will try to remember to update this review after trying to paint it, since I saw some complaints about that in the reviews. I give it 5 stars currently because I received it well packaged and sealed in plastic, it wasn't dried out, and so far it's exactly what I expected! I don't have other air dry clay to compare it to, though. Also, it is messy. Very messy. Just beware of that lol (it washes off with water perfectly fine) ... show more

Love this clay! It's not the light foam clay, which is a plus. It takes details very well. Hardly cracks when dried, besides the top dollar air dry clay this should be your first choice when crafting on a budget. You get a lot of clay . Enough for several small projects and more than enough for a decent sized one. Shipping was quick and both the product and the box was undamaged. At first I wouldn't buy this kind because it said " Crayola" so I my mind immediately thought 💭 childrens clay =no good . I was SOOO wrong!!! Students used this clay to make asteroids on Space Camp. There's enough for 8-12 students and they can make many asteroids. It's a litle hard to get product out of can but it's all in one place. They made large asteroids so it took 2 days to harden.
