Well worth the purchase. Car pulled out in front of me and had to lay my bike down to prevent collision. These engine guards saved my leg from being crushed and save my bike from $$$$ in replacing the right side of my bike. Would absolutely recommend these bars.

Pros: - Looks great and goes with the customization I’ve been doing on my ride. - Relatively easy installation. All in all, less than 30 minutes. - I was ably to install the foot pegs of the original engine guard. Cons: - The steel gauge is NOT as thick/strong as the OEM engine guard that came with the bike. The fact that I had to and was able “pull” slightly to match the hole for the bolt tell me the steel is not very rigid. When you rest your feet on the guard, it “gives”. Not confident if it will tolerate a 800lbs bike drop, and if it does, the engine guard will very likely need to be replaced. - The instructions for the requirement for the fairing bracket are not very clear. If you have a Road Glide 2014 or up, the stock fairing bracket will NOT fit. You will need to purchase a “curved” fairing bracket (two piece part) to replace the OEM units (search for ‘Steel Fairing Support Mount Bracket for Harley Touring Road Glide’. Various options will come up). All in all, good product and it looks great, but if you are expecting a heavy gauge steel part, this is NOT be the part for you. May be a practical solution for a sport style bike, but for a touring bike, it is only a aesthetic accessory.

They were a little tough to line up the holes but if you leave the first two lose, then you can add a little pressure and line up the third. Definitely thinner than the original stock one but overall looks and feels great.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He tried in stalling it on his bike but one bar was slightly bent causing it to not line up to the hole correctly. It was also way smaller than expected which made it not look right on his 2017 Harley Davidson street glide special. Needless to say we returned it and will be looking elsewhere.
