First let me address a couple of negative comments about the "cloudy" or "cheap" plexiglass on this product (sometimes I think there should be a minimum intelligence threshold to post a review on the Internet). Truth be told, when I purchased this frame (along with another), I assumed glass and was mildly disappointed in finding the vinyl --- but that was my fault from not taking a close enough look at the description (so much for intelligence and the Internet); however, that hasn't detracted from my overview experience. Sure enough, it came with vinyl --- which is covered (on both sides) by a thin film of "cloudy" protective sheeting. Removing the protective layer is easy enough and the vinyl underneath is crystal clear. I'm actually a little shocked at just how good it looks. As for the "this isn't wood" comments, well, it is made from a dense chip or particle board material covered with a wood-printed veneer. The frame is perfectly shaped, perfectly square/rectangular, and the fit and finish is also seamless (no gaps, everything fits snugly together). Bottom Line: the quality of finish work, the clarity of the vinyl, and the overall product-for-the-price is exceptional value. Perfect? No. But when you compare and contrast the prices from your local craft or frame shop, this is nothing but a winner for me. Four out of five stars for the finished product. ... show more

does not come with glass front (instead has a wobbly plastic protector); does not matter to me since I am using it to place a plexi glass picture. It comes with basic instructions on both removing the cover and screwing in the wall mounts for the frame. Frame quality is great and even on standard shipping the order came in only a couple days despite ordering from at least 4 states away. Will definitely buy more in the future. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It was what I imagined in my head. It looks great in my kitchen, and the photo It supports is a family keep sake. The gray frame matches the dark gray in my marble counter top perfectly. The wire on the back was easy to assemble. As I said in the video, this is a 24x36 frame and my photo is 20x32. I purchased the uncut mat board from Micheal's 7.99...and place my photo on top of it and measure about 2 inches completely around the mat marked it off with a pencil. I realized that this would fit my picture perfectly and nothing would be holding the photo in, so I marked off an extra 1/4 of an inch all the way around..so 2 1/4 inch, then I cut it with a tile cutter ( new razor)...popped out the middle and bam it worked...I did have to shave a little sliver off the end just to fit the mat in the frame. I think the mat was a smidgen off...but for 8 bucks verses 38 I get the win...Love my Big Mama and this Photo and frame! ... show more

At age 12, one of my favorite books was A Reverence for Wood by Eric Sloane. I get the realities of not having frames made of fine hardwoods. These frames are beautiful. The seams are perfect. They arrived well packed. And the distressing is realistic.
