The media could not be loaded. This just might be my last router. It's number six for me, anywhere from 3hp to 1/2. I started my search thinking I'd buy a mechanism to attach one of my existing routers to it, you know, for micro-adjustment. But the more I looked online, reviews were raving about going cordless. So I purchased the Craftsman 20v with a couple of 7,000 mah batteries. This thing is a game changer. Yes, it has plenty of HP. The largest bit so far is a 1/2" round over. The micro-adjustment works great, not perfect but so much better than older set-ups. I wish all routers had it. The handling while routing is very handy, and there are plenty of reviews already posted. That's what sold me in the first place. Every time I used it, I kept thinking how great it would be if I flipped it over & was able to use it in my homemade router table setup. My 1st thought was to make another baseplate & replace the original one, just like I use for my 3hp router. The more I thought about it, I needed a way to just drop it on the table. I spent an afternoon with the set-up that's in this video. I'm pretty pleased with how well it works. Once the router bit is set up correctly, I'm able to route bigger pieces of wood, handling the tool, then drop it to the table to route the smaller pieces of wood. I found myself using the cordless as my go-to. Renewed my joy of woodworking. Would I buy it again? Without dough. ... show more

    • Good speed and power, could use one more light
This is the only cordless router I've used, but I was impressed with its power. I used a 5/8" straight bit to cut through 3/4" oak and the tool held its speed very well. In fact, I never felt the need to use a speed higher than the lowest. I bought an adapter to use my Black & Decker 20V batteries with this since B&D doesn't make a cordless router (even though I'm pretty sure this is made by Stanley B&D). I'm sure the manufacturer would frown on that, but it has been working well for me. Runtime with a "4 amp hour" (it's a junky Chinese battery, so it's probably more like 2.5 amp hours) was impressive, though again, I don't have any other cordless routers with which to compare it. If I had notes for improvement, I'd put at least one more LED to light the work area. It was difficult to see behind the chuck. ... show more

I use this as my main router. With a 9ah battery, some common sense and sharp bits, this router does everything I need in my wood shop. Adjustments are easy and smooth. Easy to control and handle. Highly recommended!!
