First, let me start by saying that I have never been a fan of Craftsman tools. They began going down hill in the early 90s. As of right now, I’m not sure just how much further down the hill they can fall. However, when it comes to this old school clear handle screw driver design, I have always loved these. Ordered this set just to see if they would hold up as well as the originals. Well, it’s been over a year now, and I have had no issues what so ever. No, I would never try to use these on stubborn rusty screws or screws that were put in with high power drivers. I would then just pull out an impact screwdriver set. But for the everyday type needs?, yes, I would definitely suggest buying this set. This would also be a great set as a gift for somebody just starting a tool collection, or somebody that needs a basic tool kit. Maybe your child just bought there first house. This would be the type of screwdriver set to gift them. A dependable nice size set that should last them for years. I don’t believe the grade of plastic used on these handles are as strong as the originals, but as long as you aren’t angrily throwing them down on a concrete floor, you shouldn’t have any issues with them cracking or busting. And no, I realize these aren’t (Snap-On), but they aren’t priced as much as the Snap-On brand either. So I definitely think they are worth what they are charging. I don’t believe you need Matco or Mac tools for the average person. Brand names like that would just be an overkill for most people. A 5 dollar screwdriver hardly ever used, will last as long as a 100 dollar screwdriver. If you’re not an electrician, you probably won’t need a (Klein) screwdriver set. There is a time and place. This Craftsman set here is for the average person, or somebody that just needs a basic tool set up. I liked trying these new versions of an old school classic for the sake of reviewing them. I think, for the price they are charging for this set and what you are getting, 4 stars is a fair rating.
