The media could not be loaded. I'm impressed! I ordered this sparkly pink 1/4 size violin for my six year old on a whim. She's been begging to learn violin, and I was explaining to her that it's a whole thing, and I didn't have the energy to look into it right now--we'd need to figure out where to get one her size, arrange lessons, etc., and I couldn't just snap my fingers and make it happen. She replied "Can't you just order one on Amazon?" And here we are, apparently you can. It's in our hands two days later and it's surprisingly nice. What a world we live in. I remember getting my first violin in the 1990s being a huge ordeal. The violin came well packaged with pretty much everything you need (I did buy a bow buddy separately, but that's not strictly necessary). The directions to set it up are pretty thorough. That said, it's not trivial to set up a violin, especially if you don't know anything about violin, so I suspect a lot of the negative reviews are from people who overtightened strings and bows, or simply don't understand how long it takes everything to stretch and "break in." I'm impressed with the sound I got out of it right out of the box. In the video you'll hear that I was having trouble hitting notes on the A string and I can't tell if it's me or the violin, but it does feel like something is a little imperfect about the curvature of the finger board. It's definitely a student violin, but I was expecting worse, especially for such a small instrument. It's a real violin. A child can start to learn to play on this. If that's what you're looking for, this is an affordable way to get it!

The violin arrived in perfect condition, and all the necessary accessories were included. The assembly instructions were quite detailed. However, tuning isn’t easy, especially for beginners with no prior experience. As long as you carefully follow the seller’s setup guide, you’ll end up with a great instrument that offers excellent value for the price.

I’m showing grace by giving 1 star simply because it’s really pretty and packaged well. Other than that it’s junk. I’ve seen toys designed better. Bridge is held in place only by string tension. Which is pointless because you can’t keep them tight. So bridge just slides out of place and strings collapse. I couldn’t tell ya anything past that because we never got past that more than a few minutes. Extreme junk !!!! I have a very disappointed special needs daughter. .

Good value for a starter violin kit, dropped a star cause the shoulder rest is hard to work with and doesn't fit my daughter well, so we had to order a different one. The strings are easy to maintain, the bow and violin are sturdy. It does come with most everything needed to start out, which is great for someone that has no instrumental background. So far the sound is good, she's just starting to though so I don't know if that's helpful 🤣 I like the case, it has plenty of pockets and storage and well padded for protection. That's important for a nine year old, cause she drops everything! Overall, I would recommend, there's way more positive with this item that makes it worth the money!

I recently purchased this white violin for my daughter, and we are extremely happy with it! The color is absolutely beautiful — the white finish makes it look unique compared to traditional violins. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your money. I purchased this in early November for a Christmas gift. Today is when the violin was unboxed. Lesson learned on my end. The strings are broken and not attached. Cannot even tighten them. The “hair” on the bow is terrible and no sound produces. We have a sad child today! Giving this item one star only because zero stars isn’t an option.
