This smells so bad in my opinion. I just poured the liquid out. Beautiful though Update: even after pouring the liquid out it still had the strongest odor, it's enough to make your head hurt. I rinsed out the container with dish soap, lysol and now I have a mixture of fabric softener and water in there to help mask what odor is left. Lol NOW it's a million times better!! ... show more

Craft and Kin makes nice diffusers. The bottle is solid and substantial. I also like that they use black reeds. And the addition of dried flowers and stems really is a nice touch to add visual appeal to an otherwise simple “bottle with sticks.” I will admit, though, I’m less than thrilled with the Santal Woods fragrance. I am normally very attracted to woodsy fragrances, but this one is missing the mark for me. The box describes the fragrance notes as santal, vanilla, and musk. (Santal is derived from sandalwood.) The overall combination for me is somewhat medicinal or even antiseptic. It’s not a bad smell by any means – but not one that grabs my attention wanting me to take a stronger whiff… it’s just kind of a “background” smell. Worse, the fragrance is rather weak. I dipped the reeds into the bottle, then reversed the reeds so the tops were already saturated with the oil. I placed the dried flowers and stems into the bottle and placed the bottle in my small powder room. An hour later, I went into the powder room and the first fragrance that hit me was eucalyptus from the dried eucalyptus stems used for decoration in the bottle. I had to really put my nose right up the bottle opening to discern the oil fragrance separately from the eucalyptus. After 24 hours, the dried eucalyptus (which came sealed in plastic) had lost some of its potency, and the reeds were now fully saturated with the oil. At this point, I was then able to pick up the fragrance when I went by or into the powder room. But that fragrance was still quite subtle – it very much is a background fragrance both in terms of what it smells like and its weaker strength. This diffuser would definitely be lost in a larger room and would work better in smaller bathrooms, closets, or offices. But definitely, if you’re attracted to sweeter woodsy fragrances (with notes of pine, cypress, cedar, oud, etc.), this fragrance might be a little too base/bitter for you. ... show more

Smells great and came with 6 scent sticks for the diffuser, along with the couple pieces of dried reed and eucalyptus. The glass bottle feels very high quality and will be reusable when the oils eventually are finished. The oil did leak a tiny bit in transit along the plastic but it wasn't too bad. I had high hopes as this smelled so strong of pleasant eucalyptus as I opened the shipping package. Once I opened it and stuck it in a nursery, the smell only lasted a short time, then it started smelly musty (the room didn’t smell musty before). The musty smell went away and I picked up the eucalyptus notes again. There are 5-6 diffuser sticks and then the dried foliage/stems. Those look really cute but they make it very difficult to turn the sticks when you attempt to refresh the strength of the scent. So this looks super nice, but smell and function are slightly lacking. ... show more

I didn't even get it unboxed and I could already smell the fragrance, which is actually a good thing as it's not a light subtle scent that you have to walk up to in order to smell. This is the first diffuser that I have seen that includes a dried arrangement with it. It makes for an appealing and versatile look that fits nicely with a variety of decor. I am not sure why I haven't seen this already, but it has much more appeal than the diffuser sticks alone, which have been around for many years. The artificial stems don't absorb or release any oil and are dry to the touch even after sitting in the oil for many days. I find that they don't affect the performance of the sticks in any noticeable manner. They just add a bit more layers of aesthetics to the set. The oil (Eucalyptus and Sicilian Citrus in this review sample) is wonderful. It has a very pleasant and natural aroma. Gentle and subtle yet noticeable. It adds a background sense of olfactory ambiance to a small space. This is perfect for the guest bedroom, living room or any other space that would benefit from a natural air freshener. I find reed diffusers to usually be more natural and less synthetic than your typical plug in air fresheners. Uses no electricity. Non-hazardous (except do be careful of it spilling on surfaces like finished table tops and such, that it can strip the finish off if left on for a short amount of time). This product is awesome. Combined with the little sachet of flowers, which are also scented, the diffuser sticks make everything smell great. It doesn't smell much like sandalwood, which is what I think the product name is trying to say? but it still smells clean and fresh and I like it a lot. The bottle is as pictured, a dark green and square, which gives it a classic appearance that I really like. I have it set on a small shelf in the bathroom, so it not only smells great, it looks good too. I would definitely purchase this product again. ... show more

I absolutely love how easy it was to set up. And I just used two sticks for the diffuser and it smells amazing! I would love to get some more with different scents for other parts of the home. The scent isn’t too overpowering with just two sticks. It even goes out into the hallway. Very fall like scent. Really recommend ... show more
