I rated it five stars to bump this review. Of course, it being a $1 purchase, I didn’t expect much at all. For a child’s chalkboard, it’s cute and has lots of fun colors. They’re light so probably good for little hands. I’m a physics student, though, and I bought these to be silly on REAL seasoned chalkboards (not my wisest idea). College students are broke so I thought I’d test out some cheap colorful chalks to distribute so as to be Less Miserable. On an objective level, these are the worst quality chalk you can possibly purchase. They scratch real chalkboards, leave insane amounts of dust, and are brittle and fragile. Moreover, on certain types of chalkboards they will make a horrible screeching noise when written with, and on most surfaces, this stuff is IMPOSSIBLE to erase with a normal chalkboard eraser. I bought this chalk set for my kids, and it’s been a hit! The colors are vibrant, and it’s perfect for drawing on sidewalks or chalkboards. It writes smoothly and washes off easily with water, which is a big plus for cleanup. However, the sticks are a bit fragile—they break easily if pressed too hard or dropped. Also, the box it came in wasn’t very sturdy and fell apart quickly. Despite these minor issues, the chalk is great for encouraging outdoor creativity. I bought this chalk set for my kids to use outside, and they absolutely love it! The colors are bright and vibrant, making their drawings really stand out on the driveway and sidewalk. The chalk is easy to hold and breaks less often than other brands I’ve tried. It washes away easily with water, which is a big plus. The only downside is that it creates a lot of dust, so be prepared for some cleanup after playtime. This product wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It was one of thsoe head scratchers where i can get a more budget -friendly alternative at a dollar store or walmart that foes the job, but even spending a bit more at any other store would yield a greater quality, too. i was actually surprised at how brittle they were for the price and the colours were not as strong as i had imagined they would be. i even mixed them up and asked a friend to differentiate between these and a cheaper alternative and they kept going dor the cheapes alternative. I got these for my 2 kids to draw on our drive way. Although they are very colorful, they broke easily in my kids hands, snapping them into 2. Which then made the pieces to small for them to even grip onto. I suppose these would be best used by an adult.

I bought this colored sidewalk chalk for my grandkids, hoping for a fun outdoor activity, but it was a huge letdown. Almost every piece broke the moment we tried to use it. Some even crumbled just from being picked up. The colors were okay, but that hardly matters when the chalk is in tiny, unusable sticks. Definitely not worth the money.
