  • Rugged Reliability with a Few Trade-offs
I recently invested in the CQR Men's Tactical Pants, and they've proven to be a solid addition to my outdoor and workwear wardrobe. Here's a breakdown of my experience: **1. Incredible Durability:** These pants are built like a tank. The ripstop fabric stands up impressively to wear and tear, making them a reliable choice for various outdoor activities. Whether it's hiking, camping, or just a day of heavy-duty work, these pants have consistently held up well. **2. Pockets Galore:** For the organization enthusiast in me, the abundance of pockets is a major plus. The layout is well-thought-out, providing convenient storage for various items without feeling overly bulky. The cargo design is not only practical but also adds a tactical flair to the overall look. **3. Fantastic Thickness and Water Resistance:** The thickness of the fabric is just right—providing durability without sacrificing flexibility. Moreover, the water resistance is a standout feature. These pants are a reliable choice for rainy days, keeping me dry and comfortable during unexpected downpours. **4. Downsides:** On the downside, the weight of the fabric does make these pants a bit heavy, especially during warmer weather. Additionally, the lack of breathability is noticeable, leading to some discomfort on hot days. While they excel in water resistance, this feature can contribute to a warmer experience, which might not be ideal in certain climates. **In Conclusion:** The CQR Men's Tactical Pants are a durable and versatile choice for those who need reliable outdoor and workwear. The trade-offs in terms of weight and breathability are worth considering, depending on your specific needs and the climate you'll be wearing them in. For cooler or rainy weather, they are a fantastic choice, but for hotter climates, you might want to weigh the benefits against the potential discomfort. Overall, a solid 4 stars for their durability, functionality, and water resistance. ... show more

  • Comfortable and durable but series branding needs work
These pants are comfortable. They sort of remind me of wearing snowboard pants without all the extra layers. I’m wearing these for facilities maintenance work in Arizona so we will see how they feel in the heat but the initial durability suggest they’ll last longer than the wrangler “flex” jeans I’ve been wearing to work that always ripped at the seems. My one issue having ordered 4 pairs of cqr pants this week is the inconsistency of brand lines or series. Pants are great and they’d be 5 stars but the listing of items is super confusing. The title of all cqr pants of every Amazon listing is too long and doesn’t feature any of the names of pants and colors. They’re better for descriptions or product details and usage and all are way too similar. Under listings is too many lines or series like “work cargo” “dura flex” “duratex” duratex ripstop” etc… From their Amazon store page you see series like “liberator” “covert” “wilderness” and “sapper” and when you receive the pants get tags that say “raider series” “tactical series” “pioneer series” “sapper” and many other random names that are not in the title of the Amazon listing nor do the pants feature any of the names of the color selections like duratex or tec or work cargo etc. When I first ordered the work cargo in a 30x30 I believed them to be their own series and also believed they were a straight fit so when I couldn’t order a waist size up for a better fit under the same listing I ordered another work cargo in another color 32x30 only to receive a different pant style with little change in the fit. I then learned that the first pair I got wasn’t a “work cargo” it was the liberator duratex mag pocket which is actually a relaxed fit and not straight fit. So I ordered that in a 32x30 which fits well other than it feeling a little baggy. So it seems there’s the brand cqr, a breakdown of 4 series of pants, an unknown amount of sub series under the 4 series, and then different styles and materials. I’d suggest CQR solidify the branding and series and have that match the header item name along with the “colors” section and have one series in each listing and include the fit type for easy search filtering along with some of the labeling in “product details” where many listings say women’s when they’re clearly men’s. Feature one color for every pair for the main picture of the series with swatches of available colors instead of 10+ listings that are all just the same thing but different colors. Maybe utilize the brands items numbers more too so ordering more of the same thing or ordering different sizes makes sense. ... show more

  • These r good
Well made. Stitching, zipper and fit is all very good. Im 5’10” and 175# size 34/32 fit exactly as expected. These are water and stain resistant (not proof), and they pack up nice and small. Time will tell the durability but I’m confident these will last me a while. The waistband button feels a little less than it should be but it’s still okay. What bothers me the most is the cut of the side pockets. The opening is almost horizontal which just makes it feel awkward when putting hands in them. Also makes my pocketknife sit uncomfortably in the bend of my hip when crouching down. Overall I still like these and would order them again. ... show more

  • I would 100% recommend
Color: Duratex Mag Pocket Charcoal Size: 34W x 30L
I usually wait a couple weeks. But I have been in Iceland for two days, walking around in continuous rain for 2+ hours and these pants have actually kept me dry. I was surprised but glad they did, they're thin but they kept me warm. It's been between 38-42F and they held up. I normally wear 32L but got these in 30 because of my boots the 32s were too long. They are not fitted so the are pretty wide on the legs. ... show more

  • Well made
Color: Duratex Mag Pocket Print Hunting Camo Size: 32W x 34L
Very impressed with the quality of these pants. Right size, right amount and types of pockets. Realized they had placed clip pockets and reinforcement in area where pocketknife goes. That shows some thought in design. Plus they did the same for the left side! For the price these are an excellent pair of pants. ... show more

  • Comfortable and easy to clean
Color: Duratex Mag Pocket Copper Brown Size: 38W x 30L
Have most color of these and wear a lot. Comfortable and get compliments. Love the pockets for travel. Wash in machine. Water and stain resistant. Tough fabric. Just wish legs were a little more tapered for thinner thighs (an aging and muscle loss thing).
