Yes, these square-toed boots are plastic, and they hold moisture and can get pretty warm inside. I don't know a solution for that, although the fabric lining mitigates this problem (delays it) to a degree. That being said, these boots have several positives that make me like them. First of all, they are quite waterproof, and, unlike leather boots, they do not require re-conditioning if they get wet. In this same vein, they are easier to wash if they get muddy. On a snowy day, it is hands down easier to pull on these boots than to deal with what is bound to happen to leather boots, including your feet getting wet and cold. Of course, wear thick, warm socks, or even two pairs, on a day like that. Also, these boots are soft and comfortable, and they are not at all adverse to wear from time to time inside the house or for a few hours outdoors. Another thing, rather nice when wearing cowboy boots, is that these boots have a pretty deep lug, slightly soft synthetic sole, enabling sure footing on snow, wet grass, mud, ladders, and other surfaces where a smooth or hard sole would risk a slip. Throughout my fairly long life, I have resisted wearing boots of artificial leather, but as soon as I slipped these on and realized how comfortable and air circulating they are, as well as being surface gripping and waterproof, I had to acknowledge that they definitely have a good role for frequent use.

Perfect boots to wear out or even wear to work because they have some amazing cushion support! These are so nice that definitely getting another pair. The material outside is very nice and durable. The size is accurate and fits great definitely worth it!

These are pretty great boots for the price point. They would hold up well out on the farm and have nice, thick tread. The fit is comfortable and true to size. The square toes box adds wiggle room and comfort. The material used is okay, it could be better quality, but you are getting what you pay for. Overall, this is a nice boot that will hold up for at least a year or so of kicking around in the mud and the muck.
