Description

A collectible and fun little book on America's most fashionable footwear, Cowboy Boots is a close up look at the veritable trunk show of some of the most impressive cowboy boot designs from the most prestigious and famed bootmakers in the world, and is small and handy enough to carry with you when you're shopping for that next pair! From detail shots of stitching, to a focus on the design elements like flowers, steer heads, horses, crosses, initials, hearts, cacti, and horseshoes, there is plenty of quality craftsmanship to ogle over. A great little idea book to have handy if you're a collector, a fan of the craftsmanship or in the market for a new pair. Tyler Beard is the foremost expert on cowboy boots. He is the author of Art of the Boot, The Cowboy Boot Book, and 100 Years of Western Wear. He lives on a ranch with his wife, and together they run True West Design. • Fun book
Given as a gift to cowboy boot loving friend who loved the book.

  • VUN-DA-BAR!
Yeah I don't know why I picked that title but it was the first word that came to my head. This little book is a delight! It's well worth the price and I leave it out as a "coffee table" book and each time I've had someone over they've found it to be a wonderful resource book full of illustrated pictures of cowboy boots. I myself am glad I made this purchase. Great gift idea for anyone who LOVES cowboy boots too(male or female). ... show more

  • Gorgeous pictures and fun, breezy text
Gorgeous pictures and fun, breezy text. The boots are to drool over! The thing that marred the Kindle edition? No copy editing. None at all. "Boot" is "hoot" about 50 times, which makes me suspect that the book was digitized using OCR and nobody ever read it after that. If you can stand the plentiful typos and you are looking for a fun look at boots-as-art rather than a comprehensive collector's guide, you will have a great time with this book. ... show more

  • Cowboy boots are way better than bad sex!
This book is so fun! My passion for cowboy boots started several years ago, but it hasn't been till recently that I started paying for the best. This book is better than bad sex for sure! The craftsmanship that goes into some of those books is amazing. Every page is like a new piece of tantalizing candy. I love it so much that I show it off at my restaurant in Seattle for all to enjoy! ... show more

  • Perfect!
Cover to cover, this is a great cowboy boot pictorial with interesting documentation about the cowboy boot! Perfect coffee table 'little' book and great gift for anyone who has a ranch or an interest in cowboy boots! This was probably the best and most loved hostess gift I have ever given....and that's a good thing! ... show more

  • If you like vintage boots, get this book!
I love vintage cowboy boots. Wanted to have a pair made and found my example in this book. The book was smaller in size than I thought it would be. Even so, the photographs are large, detailed, and clear.
