I recently bought the COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Lip Color Custom Reds, and let me tell you, this lipstick is more committed than I am to sticking to a diet! I wore the "Your Classic Red" shade, and suddenly, my lips were on a mission—kiss-proof, smudge-proof, and food-proof. I ate a burger, kissed my cat, and accidentally napped on the couch, and my lips were still rocking that classic red like they had just stepped out of a beauty salon. It claims to be long-lasting, and it's not kidding. I mean, I could probably survive a zombie apocalypse, but my lips would still be looking fabulous. This lipstick was actually long-lasting. I ate, kissed, drank, you name it and it didn't come off completely. There's this weird problem where parts of the lipstick will lessen on my lips randomly but it's not super notable. I just apply it back on in that tiny area. Sometimes little bitty flecks will transfer, but again, not super notable. I haven't found another lipstick with better performance. The color (red) was also cute. Not my favorite shade of red, but a good universal shade. It gets the job done. Lastly I wanted to say that layering the product is not advisable as the lipstick will peel up. I like the color and that it is not shimmery. I also like the feel of the clear coat. It is smooth and not sticky like glosses (I hate the feel of glossy alias by the MLM brand that I’m not sure if I can mention). It does stay on better than regular lipstick. If you eat and wipe your lips it WILL start coming off. Putting on the clear before eating helps some but still won’t fully protect the color. When it starts coming off it gets pilly. Maybe I should exfoliate or never use other products, shake it, let dry longer....I don’t know but it does come off and it pills. That feels weird so I remove it all and re-apply during the day. Since I like the feel and the color I will probably wear it but it does not last all day. Also I selected “two” and there was only one. I thought it meant two boxes, two of that color. Nope. Maybe it means the color and the gloss? It sure doesn’t clarify that anywhere on the description so I feel like I got half my order! I ordered another color, just one, and got hw box with color and gloss together. So I think this two piece description is misleading OR they made a mistake and o my sent me one.
