I have been using Covelin grey metallic leather bag on a daily basis for two months by now. First, the color really goes with everything and is much more sophisticated than plain black. The design is minimalist, which also makes this bag an universal piece. Second, the bag holds its shape and looks put together. These two are the reasons I chose it. The quality of seams is good, the fabric inside is good too. The layout of the bag is very convenient (well, pretty typical to what most bags have, so, easy to get used to). The only two things I think can be improved: 1) the inner wall zip pocket could be a bit larger - now it only holds my passport; 2) the way the handles are attached to the bag body: I expect the first problem with the bag is going to be its handles breaking, but, well, nothing lasts forever. The bag smells like real leather (love the smell!) and the zipper pull tab has a leather extension which is neatly cut and is suede-y inside, by which I assume it is real leather. The leather edges are well cut and have a neat finish. Overall, the product is very satisfying, a good value! ... show more

I had purchased this same bag twice before, and keep coming back. The "soft hot silver grey" color is my favorite ~ it goes with absolutely everything! I tried the "soft hot blue" this time around, and like that color too, although it is just a tad brighter than I would personally prefer. Being a practical sort of person, I prefer to have one go-to bag that I don't have to change out often for different outfits or occasions (mostly business and casual). This perfectly fits that bill. It is large and sturdy enough that I can fit absolutely everything I need into it, yet continues to look slim and elegant, rather than bulky and clunky. It fits over my shoulder so I can hug it next to my body in crowded situations, and makes it easy to carry in any situation. I am not overly gentle with my bags; I just don't want to spend my time fussing and worrying that they will be marked/scraped/etc., although I am by no means rough with them, either. I replace them shortly after they begin showing noticeable signs of wear. For this purse, that tends to be on the straps (small cracks show up), and the corners where the stitching is (the leather veneer rubs away). I've replaced the bag both times between 18 and 24 months after purchase. For those less concerned about the appearance of the bag, I estimate that it would last much longer. For those more concerned, I would estimate that you would get at least a solid year of wear-free use. Overall, so far, this seems like a solid value for the money. For reference, I last paid $59.99, plus tax, in Dec. 2023. Prior to that, I paid $42.99 in March, 2022, and $51.99 in Oct. 2019 (I tried another bag between 2019 and 2022, but came back to this one). As of this writing, in May, 2024, they are selling for $69.99. ... show more

I'm pleased with this purchase. The bag is as described - I was concerned about it being too big but it's a perfect size for a work tote and will hold a laptop if necessary, paperwork and other essentials. The metallic grey color isn't too garish, it's very pretty and goes with everything. It seems to be well made, simple and elegant. The ONLY issues I have with it are: - it would be nice to have two phone pockets that will accommodate bigger devices. My iPhone 6 doesn't sit well in the bigger pocket and neither will it go in sideways, so I can't use it for my phone. Since I have one personal and one work phone, it would be great to have pockets that hold both securely. As it is, I'm using the bigger pocket for things such as rail pass, work ID badge etc. The smaller pocket will only accommodate items like car keys, lipstick etc. - ideally, there should be an exterior pocket for keys or other quick-grab essentials. Otherwise this is a good bag. Quick note on the ODOR - I didn't notice one! Maybe other comments on the odor have been noted and the bags are aired out now before they're shipped, but there was only a faint smell of treated leather - nothing too bad at all. LEATHER? Yes, it's leather, you can tell by the grain - it's smooth but quite stiff, which is good because the bag stands nicely when it's been set down on the floor/table. It has been treated and of course colored, so it's not going to smell totally like natural leather - and when you look at the colors of these bags, you can see why! ... show more

I got the silver/grey one... It's lovely. Seems to be of very good quality... well stitched and very supple.I was hoping the reviews I read were true because the price seemed quite low for it being that big and genuine leather. I have many different hand bags in various colors but, some times need to carry more than they will hold so, I wanted something stylish yet big enough to hold everything I would need for the day. I looked at quite a few different ones I liked but, my problem was that I couldn't decide on a color. I really didn't want to go with black. I prefer silver over gold so, this was perfect. I can carry it with anything I'm wearing and it looks great. :) It holds my 13" MacBook, book, notebook, iPhone, wallet, tissues, lip balm, other make up items, sunglasses, readers, compact umbrella... well, everything I might need comfortably without looking like I'm "lugging," it. The first time I used this purse (navy in color) I was attending a family reunion in September. When I went to pick up the purse from the floor, I noticed it had been gotten wet on the bottom. I wiped it dry with paper towels. Later I sat the purse on my lap and when I moved the purse off my lap I discovered that the purse had left marks on my white jeans. I tried every bleach, laundry spot remover that I could think of. Nothing worked. My jeans are ruined. I’m thankful the dye did not bleed onto a piece of furniture, counter top, etc. I loved the purse so much that I decided to keep it and be careful where I set it down. But it ended up to be a difficult task. It is too late to return it. I now have a pair of ruined jeans and a purse I cannot use. ... show more

I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to find THE ONE and this is it! The size is perfect because it holds a ton of stuff but also slims down if you don’t have as much in there, the sides are sturdy so you can stand a cup/water bottle in there without it dumping over, the straps are thin and easy to carry (takes a few days to break in the crease from shipping), and the color/finish/quality is amazing.
