I bought these and installed through the value stem. It took some time but the difference was amazing. The tire guy had 12oz of weight on each wheel and my truck shook terribly. I removed the 12oz of weight from each wheel then installed the recommended 4 oz of balance beads and it was like night and day. I am amazed how these work. I would buy them. I watched several videos on YouTube about different types of balancing beads. I finally settled on this brand. I had ordered a set of 265/70/r16 tires and mounted them at home and had no way to balance them. I figured I would give the beads a shot since they where not very expensive. In a word, amazing! My tires are balanced perfectly. I was thrilled with the results and will use them in all future tires i replace. One note, be very careful when you open them. They come packaged a bag within a bag. You are supposed to open the outer bag and toss the inner bag inside your tire. One of mine had the inner bag broken. The beads are very tiny and so if you're not careful you will lose them if the in her bag is torn. The beads do come with the kit to install them through the valve stem which is what I used on this one tire. It works well but it is a very slow process and not near as convenient as just tossing the bag inside the tire. ... show more

Used this product on hard to balance dirt track tires that were already mounted ,so installation was thru valve stem. Almost gave up as installation that way is not easy. If you do some online research you will find some clever ways to complete install. It takes some time but it can be done.

I got the tube and bottle and took the needle out of the valve stem and lut 3oz is each tire of my SXS and just had to ether squeeze the bottle or tap on the stem and the beads flowed right in. Maybe took a minute or 2 for each tire but was super easy. It was cold out but I did a short drive and got up to 40mph and seemed much smoother. ... show more

Used these on my GSXR. I like to change my own tires but don't have a wheel balancer. was a bit skeptical that they would work, to my surprise they keep they work just as well as having the tires balanced professionally, with the added bonus of not having ugly wheel weights! First, these DO follow sound and proven physics, so they should work in principal, BUT: The quantities in the charts available, published online and included, give very generic numbers, based only on the width of the tire and type of bike. For a dual-sport with 21/18" wheels with rim locks, 2 oz are given for the front wheel and 3 for the back. However, the weight required for the static balance I did before was 4.6 oz and 5.7 respectively. Therefore, double the amount spec'ed and no guidance for what to do if it's not enough, nor how to tell, etc. The product comes with special valves with "filters" to keep stuff out of the valve, which are really just a little cap added to the end. They didn't hold air after a day of riding and, worse, I COULDN'T GET THEM OUT of the valve stems without resorting to drastic means, namely pliers to essentially rip them out. They would unscrew, then click back into the stem so the only thing to grab was the plunger tip, but the threads reengaged each time! Final extraction revealed the "filters" to be gone and the tips of the valves to be bent, preventing them from sealing and catching in the threads preventing the valve from coming out. If twice as much as is specified is what's actually required, the expense is not worth the trouble. Now, I'm not sure what to do with the junk in my tires, since I'm not convinced it's doing what it's supposed to and the wheels can no longer be balanced conventionally.     • Great for general use, but not off roading

For vehicles that don't require constant tire pressure adjustments, it's fantastic. It does it's job at balancing the tire and you actually get a better ride feel compared to unbalanced tires. THE biggest gotcha for me is adjusting tire pressure. I use these on my off road AT tires and constantly deflate/inflate them. As soon as I plug my tire gauge in, a bead or 2 gets stuck in the valve stem(s) causing it to leak air. The fix/workaround is to deflate to 5psi above your target pressure, remove the valve stem, put the valve cap on to stop losing air, dislodge the bead(s) from the valve stem, reinstall the valve stem, and try to get it to pressure. For me, I need to get these things out of the tires. The hassle is not worth it. ... show more
