What a great alternative to typical foundation for those who do not have major issues to cover ! Coty, a long world known and faimos brand. I've been using Coty products for 40+ years and I was never disappointed. This Coty powder is very fine and smell wonderful, giving your face a polish and natural look. Little secret when using powder - After you applied this powder, bring your palms close to your mouth and blow "steam" on them (as you would fog your eye glasses before cleaning), and immediately pat your face, do this several times, as necessary. If any traces of powder were showing on your face, after the patting of the "steamy" palms, it will all disappear. This Coty fine powder also last many many years without any degradation.

This is my favorite powder... I always try new things, but I always go back to this classic. This is a wonderful setting powder for matte day wear, or for heavy, glamorous or bridal looks. It works well by itself too, simply to reduce the oiliness of your skin, if you like a lighter matte effect. I always use the translucent, so that it matches any foundation I use. I apply it with a big fluffy powder brush for an airbrush-like finish, but I sometimes use the included powderpuff when I need extra-long wear. It comes with a lot of powder, and the puff is nice quality, so it's very cost-efficient. It is perfumed, with a floral sort of smell. Some people may call it "old-fashioned" or "grandmotherly", but I love those old-fashioned florals so I love this! I would be careful of this if you have sensitive skin though. This powder is one my all-time favortie products and I would recommend it to everyone!

Overall I'd say this extra coverage translucent powder is better than my Laura Mercier translucent powder. I've used this powder a dozen times since purchase so I have a pretty fair experience to review this now. For more details keep reading on. Design: Upon arrival, I had no issues opening the plastic seal covering the sifter/holes containing the powder underneath. There was no leak, all product was contained. There's a big cotton puff, which I tossed because I'd never use it on the face knowing it can easily harbor bacteria and cause breakouts. I think it can simply serve as a mechanism to prevent spills or leaks, since the lid is not a screw top and a bit easy to come loose and the sifter has no other means of being sealed. Because of this, I'd never attempt to travel with this powder. The risk is far too high for what it's worth. I'd be mad if all my other toiletries were smeared with powder. Effectiveness: color, coverage and duration of oil control are satisfactory for my extremely oily T zones, including forehead, nose, eyebrow areas, and cheek area surrounding the nose. I have sand colored complexion, and I prefer a matte and light toned skin. Highlighters look horrifying on my skin, that's how oily I am. This extra coverage powder has a pinkish tone when initially applied but I don't mind it. My skin looks matte right away. I do look a bit cakey if I examine my face closely, BUT same result using Laura Mercier translucent powder. With both powders, I usually use a damp beauty blender to apply a decent layer over my oily areas mentioned. After 6 hours, Airspun reveals some oil back to the face. See photos before and after 6 hrs. But again, Laura Mercier translucent powder revealed even more oil within the same timeframe. I find that Airspun does create more of a dust cloud though. Try not to breathe it in. Plus the scent is strong like baby powder. I don't mind it personally. I have not noticed additional breakouts caused by this powder on top of my usual breakouts. Amount and price worth: huge amount of product, looks like it hasn't been touched after a dozen uses. I don't use a light hand either. I spent $10 on this, but I really don't mind because it's the extra coverage version and so much product, it will last me over a year for sure. And it's still 3x cheaper than Laura Mercier. Overall, Laura Mercier doesn't compare in effectiveness and price, and the only reason I use it is for traveling, and to use it up before it expires. I'll only purchase Airspun from now on.

I want to say this item is great however there's some pros and cons. Pros: It's definitely the best drugstore powder I've used thus far for baking. It doesn't exaggerate fine lines or pores It smells floral No flashback on camera or photography Cons: It kind of clogs my pores I have sensitive skin so it's definitely something I'm getting used to. It smells too floral You can buy it cheaper at Walmart however mine was out so I ordered via Amazon. It isn't translucent it has a small amount of pigment in it. Not a ton but enough. I'll leave it up to you but it is affordable and it does do the job.

Hands down, this is the best setting powder I've ever used. I have very oily skin but my under eyes tend to be a bit dryer and very sensitive. I have a lot of issues with powders caking, accentuating the dryness, and exaggerating lines around my eyes and pores around my nose. I've tried powders in all price ranges from MAC to e.l.f. and always have this issue, no matter the quality. This morning I set my foundation with the Coty Airspun using a damp beauty blender and I swear the powder just melted right into my skin flawlessly. No cakey build up, didn't exaggerate my lines or pores, doesn't feel heavy or drying, just perfectly blended in for a natural finish. I did order the extra coverage version and I can't say that I noticed any extra coverage but that is a small issue considering how great this stuff worked for me. I didn't find the fragrance overpowering and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin like most fragranced products do. And the amount I used to set my whole face was minimal so this container will last me years. I couldn't be happier with this product.

I absolutely love this powder. I use it as..I guess foundation. As in, I put a moisturizer and this on top then my regular eye makeup etc. It has enough coverage to cover blemishes and is perfect for me. It's so cheap and you get alot of product. It does have a very strong scent, which I LOVE. It reminds me of my grandma, but I 100% understand that that's not for everyone! So if you don't like that type of scent, don't buy this! It comes with a super fluffy powder puff, but unfortunately it doesn't stay super fluffy. After a few weeks it gets flat and kind of scratchy, which I definitely don't love but it's not a deal breaker for me. The powder gives me a very matte look for HOURS. I RARELY reapply. However, it does look very powdery after applying, but I set it with rosewater spray and that gets rid of the powdery-ness! I've gone through 3-4 whole containers and will continue to buy!

I actually really like the coverage of this. The transparent color blends in perfectly, and was sheer on my skin but still provided a decent amount of coverage. However, the scent. Good lord. Why does this need to be so strongly scented?!? The fragrance is the 4th ingredient and it is ungodly strong. Why?! Why do I need face powder to have any scent let alone have it so strong it assaults your nostrils. I’m actually nervous people will be able to smell it on me and it smells like old lady perfume. Please make this product scent free. Also, the powder puff needs a finger handle. Otherwise, the powder itself is a good product and value!

Y’ALL. My face is a freaking oily slick. I’m talking like 2 hours into my day and BOOM, oily everywhere. No matter what I used, no matter what I did. So i was getting married and I did my own makeup. My BIGGEST hurdle was finding something to keep my oily face matte all day without fail. I went to Ulta and they persuaded me to buy Laura Mercier loose powder. $40 down the drain and my face was still as oily as a freshly greased pan. Obviously I was starting to get desperate. I saw Coty around a few times and thought I’ve literally got nothing to lose and everything to gain. I couldn’t have my face looking so shiny on my wedding day. So I bought the Extra Coverage Translucent Powder. Honestly, didn’t expect much when I first used it. If $40 powder didn’t work, why would this? Oh my god, I was so wrong. I literally almost cried tears of joy when I looked in the mirror hours later and my makeup was still matte. Maybe like 1% of my face oil had made it through my makeup at the end of day, which was like 10 hours later. I can’t recommend this enough. My wedding day has come and gone and through out everything, kissing, eating, dancing, sweating.... my makeup was on POINT. 😭 it’s the only thing I wear now bc it works so well, I’m obsessed. Super recommend!!
