Okay, so here’s the 411. I usually never write reviews but I couldn’t come here to write one fast enough after just one nights sleep! This bad boy gave me the MOST COMFORTABLE SLEEP OF MY LIFE. It’s somehow both cool and cozy warm at the same time. It’s incredibly fluffy but also extremely lightweight. The softest comforter I have ever owned, seriously. After washing it fluffed up a lot more than when I first opened it. Just insert cliche “sleeping on a cloud” here and this is all you need to know. Buy it! Bought this for a new mattress we purchased. It is medium weight I would say. It’s made of polyester, yet it’s soft. I like the quilting, the batting or filling is sewn down so it can’t clump in spots. I have washed this twice already and had no issues. I even used Oxyclean on it due to my son vomiting in his bed. For the price point I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. This thtickneas would make a good insert for a duvet also for winter months. ... show more

This comforter is honestly magic. It's a fluffy cloud. Reminds me of the comforters I slept with at hotels in Germany. I think it's better than hotel comforters I've had in the US. I've been using a duvet cover and I am afraid to ever wash it, but when I do I'll try to remember to come back and update on how it holds up. Its definitely good quality as it is now. I told my boyfriend we might have to order a backup and store it safely in case this one ever reaches the end of its life! ... show more

I guess I didnt get what the other reviewers got, or even what was shown in the pictures. What I got is pretty dang thin & disappointing. My Daughter wanted a fluffy one like I have, that I recieved as a gift from overstock. This looked similar. I should've just asked for the info to find it on the other site, cause it's not even close. I'd call it more of just a blanket, that should've been half the price. I did a lot of research to find a comforter to put in my duvet. This one seemed to check all the boxes and it just arrived today. I put it in the dryer on low heat for about 10 minutes and then squished it to get it fluffier. The fabric is so smooth and soft that you want to just wrap up in it. I put it inside my king size duvet and it fit perfectly. I'm laying under it now and it feels like it will be pretty warm. Hopefully not too warm. But it feels thick and fluffy and luxurious and I'm so excited to go to bed tonight. The boxes in the box stitching are the smaller size as they advertise. The workmanship seems to be very high quality. There is also no weird smell that I notice. I think this was a great purchase. The first picture is just our empty duvet. Second picture is the comforter. Third picture is the comforter inside the duvet. ***So we've been using it for about a week now. It is warm, almost a little too warm, but right now we also have microfiber sheets which are warm. I'm hoping when we switch to our cotton sheets it will be the perfect temperature. We keep our house at 72 at night so that could also be why it's warm. We live in Utah and it gets down in the teens at night. I don't think we can use this in the summer nights but we'll see. ... show more

    • Keeps you warm, but light enough to be comfy
I’ll be blunt - I’m a pretty picky person, so when I say I really like this cover, I’m not blowing smoke up your rear. To start off with, the color is great. It’s very true to what I purchased (dark grey color), and goes really well with the other darker grey/lighter grey/grey/blue color scheme that we have in our bedroom. The weight of this is definitely there and it absolutely keeps you warm at night, but it’s not so heavy that it is not comfortable and it’s not ultra warm where you can’t survive it’s presence. The one thing I’m extremely happy about is the clean-ability. It’s lighter weight but still hefty enough for warmth, but ALSO is light enough and right sized to fit into our washing machine. This has been cleaned every other week for probably about a month and a half at this point, and thus far the color has stayed true, I’m not seeing tons of wear, and the cat and dog hair has come off beautifully. I’d say it’s better than average thus far in durability. I think there is only one main thing that maybe would have made this better - it’d have been great if they were to include a couple king sized pillow cases that match the cover. Grey’s such a hard color to match, and when you have things literally on top of another, having mismatching grey colors is an issue. This said, the price point is not outrageous (and actually, IMO, is actually pretty good), but also this is not what you’d want if you’re going to survive an Alaskan winter. If you’re looking for something VERY warm, this isn’t for you. This isn’t us, so we are completely happy with this - the bottom line is it looks good, isn’t ultra expensive, isn’t super heavy, and does add warmth if you need it. ... show more
