I gave this as a gift. It was such a big hit. I encourage people to set a pretty dinner table. The smell was not strong even though these are polyester. They wash well, colors are beautiful. Size is correct. You can do a lot on a small budget with Amazon.

I really wanted a plaid tablecloth and I didn’t want something cheap looking. I looked in literally every store and could not find something Christmassy to fit a 50 something inch round table. I searched on Amazon several times to try to find either place settings or a tablecloth that would suit my style. After reading many reviews, I looked at this tablecloth since I wanted something that would wash well and last, this one seemed to fit the bill. as soon as I took it out of the package, I washed it and steamed it to get the wrinkles out. Once I put it on my table. I just wasn’t pleased. I couldn’t put my finger on it but I just didn’t like the way that it looked. I decided to return it, but before I returned it, I went to the Home store around the block and purchased a centerpiece and place settings. My husband came home and remarked on how much he liked the new table set up, so I think that the tablecloth is perfect as is, but it definitely needs some added style with either a runner or a centerpiece or some place settings, or even napkins,. Otherwise it just looks like a plain plaid tablecloth. Nice colors and washes well. Will def need ironing or steam since it’s cotton.

I bought 2 sizes of pastel plaid spring tablecloths for a baby shower I was hosting, but will also work well for Easter or any Spring event. Pros: They are 100% cotton. I washed them in cold water and line dried and then threw them in the dryer to help soften them. They are color fast and shrinkage was minimal, using the described method. I was concerned when I first received them as they didn't look very tightly woven. However, after washing, that improved somewhat and my dark stained tables were not visible through the fabric. I feel they are a good value at this price point. The sizes were good for what I needed but I do take care to ensure minimal shrinking. Cons: They do wrinkle and ironing is needed if you want a nice, finished look. Summary; Would recommend. One star taken off for having to iron them

I was surprised at the weight of the cotton material. Not too heavy and not too light. I ordered a larger size (120 inches long) than I needed because reviews stated the tablecloth shrunk in the wash. I washed it today and was extremely pleased with the lack of wrinkles when it came out of the dryer. In my opinion, ironing is not needed before use. The tablecloth length did shrink A LOT. Before washing, I needed to cut off at least a foot of material for a good fit. After washing/drying, the tablecloth nolonger needs to be altered. It fits fine. I definitely recommend buying a longer length than you require to be able to use it after laundering. I can't speak about stains yet.
