I love these bookcases. I purchased two (1-6 shelf and 1-5 shelf) last year for my office and decided to purchase an additional 6 shelf bookcase this year. Everything you need to put it together comes included and the directions are very simple to understand, although an electric or battery screwdriver will make it even quicker to put together. We live in a 100+ year old farmhouse with beautiful wood floors and the rustic look of these adds to the charm of my office. It mixes well with antique and new furniture too. When attaching the shelves to the frame I highly suggest you start the screws in each shelf and once you have all shelves "loosely attached" then tighten them. You could have the whole thing built in 30-60 minutes (depending on if using a battery/electric screwdriver vs manual) by yourself.

I love this product! I spent several months searching for the perfect shoe rack that was deep enough, sturdy and adjustable to hold my shoes and be fashionable enough to be seen in my open laundry room. My search ended with this one. Each side bar is drilled for the shelving screws which enabled me to space the shelves out for my specific shoe needs, based on shoe heights with boots versus flats. I bought 2 complete units to have enough shelves for my shoe rack and still have enough for my office shelf. I used 8 shelves on the shoe rack and the remaining 4 shelves (12 shelves total from the two units combined) to complete the two shelving systems. Each unit comes with 6 shelves. The unit is well built and so attractive. The shelves are the perfect depth for my size 9 shoes. I have 37 pair of shoes or boots on the unit and another 4 pair on the floor under it…41 pair of organized shoes beautifully displayed!! The office unit holds the heavy binders and books nicely with no sagging from the weight of them. I highly recommend this product.

It went together pretty easily, HINT!: Don't screw the shelves down tight until you get the cross bars in place... and don't tighten the crossbar screws down until you have all of them started. If you leave a a little gap (1/16th to 1/8th of an inch) in each screw it really makes putting it together much easier. Once all your screws are in then tighten them down. Oh, if you're going to use an electric screwdriver or drill/driver then be super careful because the shelf thread holes are easy to strip if you're not careful. Otherwise they are good stable shelves.

The shelves came with clear illustrated instructions as well as clearly marked parts. Not many parts...basically two kinds of screws and the 4 back crossbars. The shelves are well fabricated with no chips on any side. Simple to assemble and looks great!

The quality of these shelves is awesome. And, they are so easy to put together! I chose to get the adjustable option so I could customize my shelves. I chose to leave one shelf out to have a bit more room. And, the price point is right in line with the quality in my opinion.

POSITIVES: — The look of the bars really opens the space in the room and makes it feel more airy, rather than being blocked off like a regular bookcase. — Its also very lightweight and was easy to move. — The bookcase also seems easy to clean with a very smooth surface — The flat pieces added to the bottom of the shelf help it to glide on the floor without scuffing anything which was a nice addition to me. — The amount of shelves are generous and a lot can be stacked onto them. — My only big issue is that one of the bars I received came twisted and I had to contact the seller to get a replacement. They sent me 4 extra bars instead of one which was nice. The seller was also thorough and patient, which Is a bonus! NEGATIVES/ THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND: — The bookcase is gorgeous and pretty sturdy, although the center feels kind of wobbly at times, since its just 2 ladder-like bars stacked on one another. It does hold a lot of weight though, and looks good in my room. Im not worried about it toppling over. — The band they gave for the wall attachment is fabric (for those who wanted to know) and is not as nice/ sturdy as one of those metal attachment beams, so I will be buying and attaching those instead to keep it sturdy on the wall. Not a big dealbreaker, just something that works better for me. — As an open air type of bookcase it can get dusty, so be sure to clean it more often! — Books in a half empty shelf can sometimes slip out of the bars if they accidentally topple sideways, so you will need to have bookstands to make sure they stay up straight. — Hard to push/ move when the books are on the shelf and it wobbles a bit. Definitely move the bookcase to where you want it to be before you place the books into it. — The bookcase came with a LOT of styrofoam that flew everywhere. Just keep that in mind when you order it! Overall a really good bookcase for the money and looks amazing in a bedroom. I have a vintage style bedroom and it still went well with my decor. Id recommend getting it!

Loved my first shelf so much, I bought a second one. Very attractive, sturdy. These shelves will not bow, which is good considering the demands I place on my bookshelves. The wood looks great. These do not look like cheap shelves.
