We got this for our daughter in December for her birthday it arrived in nice shape and all you have to do is screw the legs onto the piano itself which is very easy. The packaging was good enough to protect it from damage and the only issue I have had is the crummy plastic "note" holder that sits only when the piano's top door is opened. The one fatal flaw is how easily the small stool that comes with it tips over, little kids don't sit with proper posture for this little bench stool to not be a tipping hazard. I would recommend setting this on a carpeted area so that there is less risk for them to hurt themselves. On the other side you could make the argument this might help improve their balance, from learning what its like to sit on a stool. Kids are going to love hammering on the keys like there is no tomorrow and look at you and expect praise, if you aren't prepared to be receptive to that or have it somewhere in your home that you're going to be okay with that then I wouldn't recommend buying it.

The piano arrived packed beautifully, after carefully removing it from the packaging we assembled. Only to find that 5 keys were broken and could not be depressed, 4 additional keys were sticky and would only give a note every 4 th hit. The piano is beautiful but the keyboard is nonfunctional. The piano is useless with out function keys. We are attempting to return having repackaged it carefully but no help from Amazon except call the seller. No response from seller yet. No platform is worth this much aggravation. Update : Seller refused to refund or replace item.
