The end product once fully assembled is a really nice looking chair. Overall, the swivel works well, however, sitting on them they feel like they tip a little side to side at the swivel. I don’t know if that is by design or not. They came with all of the parts, and the instructions were perfect. However, I had to find a different allen wrench to use because the one they gave was too long to fit in the tiny spaces. It took a long time to screw in the screws. We removed the little plastic buttons from the feet. We have pine floors, and they would have made a mess of it. We have bought some felt protectors to replace them and will be installing those soon. The plastic buttons might work well on tile, but I would not recommend them on softwood, and possibly not even on hardwood. There is really not very good lower back support. That’s probably the most disappointing part for me because I really was seeking comfort as my number one reason for buying. The upper bar goes right across the middle of the back, but that leaves basically a big air pocket at the lower back. If I had it to do over again, I might consider buying a more expensive chair that is known for having good lower back support. Overall, these are a very good deal for what we got. They are not perfect, but they are pretty good, and were one of the most economical options for barstool chairs.

I ordered a set of 4 chairs. They arrived in two boxes. They were pretty heavy but I was able to drag them into the garage. Each box held the parts for two chair each. Each piece was very well wrapped and packed. The hardware came in two bags and each was sealed in a small cardboard box. The perfect amount of parts arrived so be careful. There were no extras. The shipment came with an allen wrench. The instructions indicated that I would also need a phillips and a cross screwdriver. I didn't. All that was required was the allen wrench. It took me about 2 hours to get the four chairs assembled. Only one wobbled but I think it was because I made a mistake of tightening the screws at the wrong step. I was very pleased with the chairs, the height (24" to the seat) and the materials.

I assembled 4 of these stools last week. One of them just broke. It looks like it was just a back piece of wood or even possible a piece of wood that was joined in order to make it long enough to fit where they have it. The bad part is that it's in a weight bearing locations just above the bearing plate. They have a bolt hole drilled through the exact location where the joint of the wood is and guess what... it failed and now a stool is broke. I just reached out to the seller to get the seat replaced (it's part of the cushion/seat) and I'm waiting to see what they want to do about it. Worst case scenario I'll have to take it apart and either have someone cut me a piece of wood to replace the broken piece or I'll have to send the whole order back. Which is gonna suck because I'd have to take apart and box up 4 chairs.

The wood and the finishing touches are pretty good for this price. The assembly is very easy, the chair and its screws are high quality sturdy materials. There was one time a screw came loose but it was an easy fix and it hasn't happened since. This is so much better than the alternatives in the market. I highly recommend this! UPDATE: Screw on the most used stool does loosen up every now and then but that's an easy fix. Just check once a month or every other month. I still recommend these stools.
