Complete Blackhead LIFESAVER
I have super oily skin and blackheads like crazy. Well, I mean I used to have blackheads like crazy. Now, I use this stuff and my skin looks awesome. It's seriously one of my favorite skin-care products of all time and I can't live without it now. Basically, the liquid sinks into your skin and digs out the gross, clogged up oil in your pores and purges it out. It takes faithful, constant use for complete blackhead eradication, but if you've got really dilated, clogged pores, you will probably see some results immediately. I sure did. I use this once a day after cleansing (usually at night-time so my skin can purge without ruining my makeup). Two pumps is enough for pretty much my whole face. I rub it in a little, but then I let the rest sink in on its own. I leave it for a couple hours and then come back and clean away the purged oil which keeps my skin from getting too irritated from the excess oil everywhere. (You'll see lots of shiny spots on top of where your blackheads are - that means it's working!!) Then I continue with the rest of my routine. Keep in Mind: 1. Your skin has to be the right pH balance for BHA (Salicylic Acid) to work. So that means don't expect to get good results if you use it right after an alkaline cleanser or after a very acidic product like a vitamin C serum (it says on the directions not to use a Vit C and a BHA together anyway). Let your skin return to a normal pH before you use it and let it sink in before you apply anything else. 2. USE SUNSCREEN. For the love of god, please use sunscreen. Salicylic Acid makes your skin photosensitive, and I don't care how well you normally tan - you WILL burn if you go out into the sun using this product, which just gives you more skin problems to worry about. There are plenty of sunscreens out there (Currently I use the Japanese Biore Milk Sunscreen) so find a good one that you like FIRST, and THEN use the BHA. All in all, I love this stuff. It's incredibly effective, but it's also super gentle on my sensitive skin. I have no idea what I did before this, but I am never going back.

It works!
Started using this following the very popular grit method for getting rid of subcutaneous filaments. As stated in the method i apply, allow it to sit on my skin for 20 minutes and then apply a clay mask and an oil cleanse. Using this protocol ive had pretty great success keeping my skin clear and smooth of those pesky little bumps. I also use retinal nightly which has helped a lot but i mention it to note if u are using retinal you should definitely take a day off to when using this product or you risk irritation and skin barrier problems. This is definitely gentler than salicylic acid while being comparatively as effective in my experience. Overall if you are looking to clear your skin of filaments, this definitely works.

Helps clean out enlarged nose pores
Pros: I have enlarged pores that are notoriously difficult to keep clean, and even after using oil cleansers and physical extraction, they seem to fill back up immediately with dirt and debris. After extraction, I follow up with the COSRX Niacinamide 2% + BHA 4% Blackhead Exfoliant to help maintain pore clarity, and the COSRX liquid gives me real peace of mind that I'm actually preventing them from becoming congested again. The COSRX formula works well for this maintenance step, and I'll often seal it further with an ice cube or ice roller to help my pores shrink a bit more. The COSRX Niacinamide 2% + BHA 4% Blackhead Exfoliant is significantly more affordable than Paula's Choice, making it accessible when I want an effective BHA without the higher price tag. The COSRX liquid is better than many products on the market for this purpose. Cons: I have to be very careful about how often I use the COSRX Niacinamide 2% + BHA 4% Blackhead Exfoliant because using it too many times in a row or too frequently in a week compromises my skin barrier and triggers breakouts. Since I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry, ruddy cheeks, this limitation is particularly frustrating. The COSRX formula isn't as effective as Paula's Choice or The Ordinary exfoliating products, despite being easier on my wallet. It's not a miracle product, so it requires realistic expectations and careful application with a wet cotton pad, patting rather than rubbing.

Gentle Exfoliation and Leaves Skin Feeling Smooth
I’ve had a good experience with this BHA liquid. The texture feels lightweight and absorbs well without feeling heavy or greasy. It fits easily into a skincare routine and feels comfortable to use a few times a week. With consistent use, my skin felt smoother and looked more refreshed overall. I also liked that it felt gentle compared to stronger exfoliating products and layered well with moisturizer. Overall, this is a nice option if you’re looking for a lightweight exfoliating product that leaves skin feeling cleaner and smoother over time.

Dubious at first, THRILLED at last
I bought this because I have deep pores on my nose area that constantly get clogged and look so unattractive. The first couple times I used it I didn't use a moisturizer at all that day, and my skin dried up and flaked, it was awful! I soon figured out that if I put it on first thing in the morning, waited a few minutes while I brushed my teeth and did other morning steps, and then put on moisturizer, that solved that. No more dry skin. Here's my application routine: 1) Wash and dry face 2) Pump one squirt of BHA Power Liquid in palm 3) Apply liquid to face using 2 fingers of the opposite hand, dipping into palm to get more (T-zone/break-out spots) - I do not used a cotton pad because it soaked up and wasted tons of liquid 4) Let sit for 10-15 min, then apply moisturizer (do not rinse) 5) Repeat morning and night After the first month, I honestly didn't see much of a change. I expected it to burn more, but it mostly felt like nothing, which was slightly disconcerting at first. I might have stopped using it, except that I had so much left and seemed like a waste not to keep trying. About three months in, I suddenly realized what a dramatic shift had started happening. I typically have maybe 5 pimples at any given moment, and then I get a monthly hormone-related breakout on top of that. Since I got past the 6-8 week mark of using BHA Power Liquid, I haven't had a major breakout in 8 months!! It's not just my blackheads that started clearing (FYI, those took 3-6 months to actually disappear completely), it's my whole face that has improved! I no longer have my steady pimples, either. I'll get really small spots here and there, and they clear up so quickly that even my husband doesn't notice them. You guys, this stuff is incredible! I realize that everyone's skin reacts differently, but this stuff is a dream for mine! Three times I've forgotten to bring it on long vacations (2 weeks) and each time I started breaking out toward the end of the trip, but cleared up when I got back to my routine. I'm buying a second bottle for my travel bag right now (the size is US carry-on approved--woohoo!) And on top of everything, the one bottle is on course to last me for an entire year. I've recommended this to at least a dozen people and am buying to the AHA Power Liquid right now to see how that works on me.

May be great for some but too mild for even my sensitive, congestion prone skin
This is an extremely mild exfoliant. No stinging or burning at all. It comes in a thin, gel format. I'm uncertain of the percentage of salicylic acid this product contains. It leaves a very slightly shiny surface after it dries but there is no greasiness at all. I used the product for over two weeks and noticed none of the typical skin peeling or flaking that most BHAs produce. I also did not notice any reduction in blackheads, pore size, etc. I think this is just too mild - even for my very sensitive skin. I have much better results with a 10% Salicylic Acid peel I purchase of eBay a couple times a week. I also am testing the Mandelic Acid Serum from Makeup Artist's Choice which I like a lot. Mandelic Acid is supposedly milder than Salicylic but just as effective. I just tried their 25% Mandelic Acid Peel and it felt milder than my 10% Salicylic Acid Peel. Their toner however had too much alcohol and it burned and inflamed my skin. I bought this due to the rave reviews. I'm not as keen on this product as other's have been. I suspect if one used this 2x day for 6 months you would see a reduction in blackheads. I just don't have that kind of patience. I prefer manual extractions and a slightly stronger peel which typically produce good results in a month or so.

Great for pore reduction.
This product is wonderful. I thought that it would be slimy but it is a light consistency that dries quickly. Which is great because I use it in the morning and it needs to dry before I apply my sunscreen. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and I have already seen a reduction in the size of my pores in my T zone.
