Cosmette Skincare Dreamy Oil Detox, Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Oil is a pricey, but effective facial cleanser. Does it detoxify the skin? I don't know. What I do know is that it very effectively removes my makeup--all of it, without needing any other cleanser. It leaves nothing on my skin, and my complexion looks radiant once I've used this. My skin does feel hydrated and soft after using this cleanser, and I would like to note that it does not feel oily at all. I have dry skin, so oil-based cleansers tend to feel very moisturizing on my skin, especially during dry, cold months. The high price point is a sticking point, however. While this is effective, I have used other cleansers that have a much lower price point. Those are also natural and/or organic. However, based on its own merits, this is a very pleasant, hydrating product. It does remove makeup well, and it leaves the skin feeling and looking quite good. the current cost of the item is approximately $29, which seems fair for the type of product. the thing i do not like quite as much about this cleansing oil vs others is the method of use. the directions on this oil are to apply it to your face and then wipe off with a warm damp cloth... i cannot tell if the oil is doing much of anything as wiping with a damp warm cloth is how i washed my face growing up (literally nothing else, just wetting a clean wash cloth and wiping down your face, ears and neck... this actually works very well if you're not wearing any makeup). i prefer the oils where you rub them into your face and then rinse off with water... this product will not wash off with water, the oil stays on your face. i will have to read product instructions before i purchase in the future for cleansing items. ... show more

    • Skin is soft and smooth
I've used DHC's oil cleanser for years, and while I love it for removing makeup gently, my skin is very prone to congestion and it doesn't help much with that. So I've been trying out more traditional oil cleansing. This oil has a soft floral scent that didn't bother me at all even though I'm picky about scents and have sensitivities. I'd have been fine with no scent, but it's naturally fragranced, and didn't cause any irritation. The whole ritual felt nice, and I will definitely be using the hot towel trick with my other cleansers. I should note that even after gently rubbing off the oil with a hot, moist towel, some oil remained on/ in my skin, and it felt like my serum didn't absorb as well. However, my skin felt soft and smooth the next day, so it seems like a fair tradeoff. This didn't seem to do as much for congestion as my go-to oil cleanser, but my skin felt so nice the next morning that this will go into my regular rotation. ... show more

    • Blackheads be Gone
For most of my life I have fought blackheads on my nose. I never would have guessed that an oil would help take care of the problem! So I washed and dried my face and pumped some of this Oil Detox on my face and especially my nose. I got my trusty face brush and in circular motions worked into my entire face. Then I got a wash rag and ran it under very warm water and squeezed out the excess water, then laid it on my entire face. I left the warm rag on my face until the rag was cool.. The product does have a slight menthol smell and it was really kind of pleasant to breathe in, then rinsed out rag and got warm water on and wiped my face with that. My face felt so clean and they blackheads did not seem to be so visible. Im amazed this product helped with my nose issues and I recommend this product. ... show more
