I used this for edging my synthetic putting green in my back yard. I was able to use one roll for my project. I used one inch PVC pipe to help hold the edging in place. I dug a trench about 3.5 inches deep and used fill to anchor the edging. Once the fill and turf was in place, the surface was just a bit under the height of the edging. I love that the edging is green, which goes well with the turf. I think the 10 inch version would make for a good raised bed planter as well. Using four inches to anchor would still leave a six inch raised bed.

This is a sturdier alternative to the plastic edging. You can trench it in the same same way, or use a hammer to drive it into the ground. I did both, and what I found worked best was unrolling the whole thing (or however long of a piece I needed) and using a mallet to hit the top edge until the edging was far enough into the ground to stand on its own.(I used a 2x4 as a straight edge. This stuff is pretty flexible and doesn't want to run in a straight line) Then I'd come back with a piece of wood which I'd lay along the top of the edging and hit that with my mallet. I'd do this along the entire length a few times until it was the depth I wanted Key takeaways: This stuff is great for curved lines, but can be a little difficult to keep straight It wants to stay in a level plane. So uneven ground makes it bow out to the side. I would not use this unless my ground was already pretty flat (or dig a level trench to compensate) Definitely more sturdy than plastic edging. Hoping it keeps grass out easily for that reason

It’s my fault for ordering a product with the word rust in the description, right? Silly me for thinking a landscape product could handle being outdoors in the weather. Dangerous to clean up without gloves, and who knows what it has polluted my soil and groundwater with. Research “sepsis” before ordering.
