I’ve played with many brands and styles of paddles. This is a pretty decent one for the price. It’s got good grip, feels comfortable in your hand, and fairly lightweight. There are certainly better paddles out there but you’ll spend top dollar for them. There is a nice sweet spot which allows for a nice balance between power and control. I am very impressed with this paddle. I always like their Pickleball balls and their beginner paddles. This Reaction Pro is aimed at the more advanced players. This is a mid range paddle that has a good surface and good control. The surface is textured enough to generate a good bit of spin. I have the 16mm version — it is a good balance of control and power. It feels “soft” in a good way. Note that this paddle is USAP approved — I checked. I ordered a 14mm paddle and was expecting a paddle weight closer to 7.8oz and my paddle weighed 7.4oz. It is extremely noticeable. Customer service not helpful at all in this regard. Despite being so light, it doesn't have as much pop as I would expect a 14mm to have. The surface is apparently T700 "Tory" (per the marketing on their website), but it's not as gritty as other T700 paddles I own like the Vatic Pro Prisms. A normal sized handle is also not for me after playing with elongated handles. The handle feels more square shaped and is not my favorite. ... show more

I couldn't get past the grip of this paddle. At the base of the grip you find the usual octagonal shape with slanted corners. However, about an inch above the base of the grip, those slanted corners almost disappear, and you end up gripping fairly sharp and uncomfortable edges. I couldn't play more than 5 minutes with it, that's how uncomfortable it was to me. I will start this review out by saying I am I newish to the game of Pickleball. My husband and I decided to try it out this summer after ordering a cheaper paddle set from Amazon. We instantly fell in love with the sport and play nearly everyday. With that being said, the cheaper paddle set is all we knew up until ordering this paddle. After trying this out, I can confirm that all of the previous reviews are spot on! The control this thing has is almost magical. I couldn’t believe how my game improved the second I used it. I was hitting winning shots instantly! The biggest difference I can distinguish between this paddle and my cheaper paddle is that the material is night and day. Once I had this in my hand my cheaper paddle felt like a plastic child’s toy. Nothing against my cheap paddle, because it helped me fall in love with the sport, but I am so happy I decided to move up to something more practical to enhance my play. While I have no experience with any other expensive brands, I can confirm this one is worth all the gold! ... show more
