  • Great Value – Solid Alternative to the DeWalt Version
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cordless rivet gun. For the price, I expected something on the cheaper side, but this tool feels well-made and performs exactly as intended. It closely resembles the DeWalt DCF414B in both function and appearance at a fraction of the cost. One thing to note: the instructions are minimal, just a small 4-page pamphlet with very basic guidance. That said, the tool is simple to use, so the lack of detailed instructions wasn’t a big issue for me. I actually appreciated that it came as a tool-only option. I already own several DeWalt 20V Max tools and batteries, so I didn’t have to pay extra for another battery I didn’t need. Overall, this is a solid rivet gun and a great alternative for anyone already in the DeWalt ecosystem looking to save a few bucks. ... show more

  • "Say Hello To My Little Friend"
The media could not be loaded. I have been using a manual rivet tool for years and extensive use has led to serious hand fatigue and could contribute to carpel tunnel syndrome. Those days are over. I was skeptical about this tool but upon arrival and inspection I was impressed by the heft and apparent quality. The motor is brushless which means extended life right off the bat. It does not come with a battery or charger but that's ok since you either have them or they are readily available. As for this rivet gun, three rivet heads are included in three sizes (3.2 /4.0 / 4.8 mm) and neatly stored in the included wrench. Threaded openings will keep them from getting lost. You'll need a few rivets so 150 rivets are included, aluminum and stainless steel. A sturdy hard-shell case with foam inserts stores the gun, two batteries, wrench, & two plastic cases with rivets. The instruction manual is brief. Basically, just load, insert and pull the trigger. It does caution against dry firing so take heed. It has overheating protection to prolong the motor life too. Nice. This rivet gun is top notch and compared to its yellow brand name rival, it storms into first place at 1/8 the price. You read that right. One-eighth the cost. The Yellow one does not include a battery so the extra cost doesn't get you anything more. I tested this gun on several materials including aluminum, steel, and plexiglass. It works like a charm, and I couldn't be more impressed with the performance. I only wish I had this when I was still working in the trades as it would have saved so much time and eliminated hand cramps. ... show more

  • Really Handy Rivet Gun — Works Great with My DeWalt Batteries
I bought this cordless rivet gun because I needed something portable for some car and home projects. I already have a bunch of DeWalt tools, so the fact that it uses the DeWalt 20V Max batteries was a big selling point. Right out of the box, I liked how light and balanced it feels. The brushless motor gives plenty of power — it pulls rivets quickly and cleanly without any hiccups. I was able to switch between the three rivet sizes (1/8", 5/32", and 3/16") easily thanks to the tool-free nosepiece changes. That saved me a lot of time when I was moving between different tasks. The built-in LED light is a nice bonus, especially when I was working in tight or dim spaces under the hood of my car. It’s not a super heavy-duty industrial gun, but for what I needed—occasional jobs around the house and auto repairs—it’s been perfect. One thing to keep in mind: the battery and charger aren’t included, so if you don’t already have DeWalt batteries, you’ll need to factor that in. But if you’re like me and already have a few, it’s ready to go immediately. Overall, I’m really happy with it. Makes rivet work way easier and cleaner without the hassle of cords. Would definitely recommend if you want a solid, cordless rivet gun that works with your DeWalt setup. ... show more

  • connect wood, metal or plastic with a rivet
Cordless rivet gun that I am using to connect two pieces of metal but can be used on plastic and wood too. It is compatible with Dewalt 20 volt battery which is not included but great for me because I have over 4 batteries from my other Dewalt tools. Very nice storage case has slot for gun, rivets that are included and two slots for battery not included and a charger or another battery. I like that it comes with a 2 year warranty so you have confidence in the tool. ... show more

  • Solid Electric Riveter
This is a solid electric rivet gun. You likely know already that you have to supply your own Dewalt battery for it as one is not included. I had a small bracket to make which required two rivets. They riveted nicely, but I made a mistake! Since it was my mistake, no fault assigned to the manufacturer on this. What I accidently did was use the small rivet head on a medium size aluminum rivet which was included in the kit. The result of my mistake is the rivet shaft did not eject from the gun. Since I had to disassembly the gun to get the rivet shaft out, I can tell you this is a solidly made gun. Really solid. I didn't see any plastic in there! Also, everything was torqued down real tight, so it was quite difficult to disassemble, but this thing looks really well made inside. Anyway, I sorted out my error and the riveter is all back together. If you are looking for an electric rivet gun, I don't think you can do any better than this one. Just be sure to use the right size rivet head for the selected rivet and all should be well. ... show more

  • Works but not very useful
I’ve never used a “power” riveter gun before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I tested all 3 sizes of tips with the corresponding size rivet on steel plate, aluminum and plastic. All of the sizes on all of the materials I was able to Just pull the connections apart. None of them made a tight connection. It does not seem to deform, or expand the other end of the rivet much at all before the post snaps off and the machine is done. Just a tiny screw would do a better job. I can’t think of any scenario this would be useful ... show more
