This HVLP sprayer works well but you do have to thin out the paint some for it to be effective. Comes with the strainer to see if the paint is too thick. You can buy the Dewalt or Milwaukee option or plug in. I painted a kitchen with it and came out acceptable. you do have to play with the thinning of the paint to get it to spray and sometimes sputters a bit but works.

I had never used a paint sprayer before trying this one and I feel like it is a really forgiving medium! I used an incredibly thick paint and it flowed so smoothly. Even angled down like you're "not supposed to do" it still provided beautiful coverage. My only complaint is that it is incredibly loud. Other than that, it comes apart easily to clean, has a long enough cord, includes different nozzles and cleaning brushes.. I am very impressed.

The media could not be loaded. The noise level on this is irrelevant however Amazon wanted me to address it. The build quality looks good but this is not a professional paint sprayer. This paint sprayer is definitely a time saver. The functionality is good which makes it a good value for the money. Now that I covered Amazon's requirements let me just say that this paint sprayer isn't going to give you a super perfect finish. These paint sprayers do just what they are called. They SPRAY! THE SPRAY IS DROPLETS. This is a tool that is very useful under the conditions it's designed for and that is fast painting. You will use more paint than a roller or brush because all sprayers spray over spray. Consider your needs and if you want to paint things quickly that don't need high end furniture grade finishes then Consider this tool.

Let me first say I am not an experienced paint gun user, but I do consider myself a reasonably proficient "D.I.Y.er". That being said, I decided to try out this paint gun on a pair of book cases which I just finished fabricating. I was quite careful to follow the instructions which came with the paint gun closely. I was using a latex paint, so thinning was required. I thinned the paint until the runout time was about 70 seconds. I also used the strainer provided with the gun, as well as the correct nozzle for latex paint. That being said, the paint appeared somewhat spotty like the gun was shooting paint droplets rather thans a mist of paint. I tried adjusting the flow rate but still could not get the type of spray that I had hoped for. In the end, I repainted the bookcases with a brush and all is well. I gave the paint gun 3 stars for the following reasons. Perhaps a more exprienced user could have attained better results? Perhaps. But again, as a reasonable DIY user, I was careful to follow the instructions to the letter. Would I use this paint gun again for a project such as this? No. Could it possibly work better with a different (i.e. - not latex) liquid? Perhaps.
