My Ramblings SPOILER: Not the tool, but all the lug nuts and others I applied this to. Frankly (or whatever they call you now-a-days), I was just tired of hauling out the compressor and hose just to do some simple stuff. So Let’s see how this helped me (or not, but it did). To the Point or TL;DR Solid, cordless 1/2” Drive impact wrench. Rated 500 N.m = 368 lb-ft torque. Perfect for up to Medium-Duty SUVs and Light Trucks. Brushless motor. Bring your own 20v DeWalt or compatible battery. Breaks lug nuts loose with ease (My primary reason). Its Loud like all of them in action and a touch heavy, Surprisingly effective for the price. Not a pro tool, but not a toy. Great for home mechanic. Product Features/Details (How it's Made, What's In It) 1/2” Drive Impact wrench; Cordless 20v (battery not included); Torque: 500N.m / 368.78 lb·ft.; Speeds: 3; Max Rotational Speed: 3,000 RPM; h The Good Stuff No more air compressor for me! That was the point, plus a few less busted knuckles while doing vehicle maintenance and repair. I was pleasantly surprised that this thing actually delivers torque and removed my lug nuts without complaint. It took some other nuts off easily that would have been a hassle while changing some other bits and parts as well. If you have DeWalt 20v or compatible, I suggest 4Ah minimum. Ya know, for the money, the performance is good. (Did I mention no more compressor & hoses?) The Tips Stuff Use the impact wrench to put on lug nuts snug then use a torque bar to get it right. Remember, you want to be able to muscle these off in an emergency with your manual tire iron, on the side of the road, in the rain, mud, and darkness. Not that I’ve ever done that. Oh, and use a 4Ah minimum battery. The Bad Stuff It’s loud, vibration is noticeable, and long term durability is still a guessing game. Who May Use/Like It Those homeowners that wanna go compressorless and have some freedom or those wanting to make work easier with less knuckle blood letting. Me Final Thoughts Good bang for buck. I picked this up to keep in the garage for car work and it’s honestly been solid for the price. It has plenty of power to break loose lug nuts off the wheels and some pretty stubborn bolts without struggling. It feels decent in the hand and not too heavy. that it I like the fact it works with my DeWalt batteries is a big plus, and got to save some money. For what I paid, I can’t really complain.

I have an old D-Wlt impact that I use for taking off lug nuts, but it requires that I plug it into 110V and a pretty long extension cord. I was excited to receive this cordless impact tool since all of my other tools are now 18V by Milwke. This tool takes D-Wlt batteries, so I purchased an adapter so I could use the M-batteries. That worked fine (see photo) but the battery indicator light on the tool didn't correspond to the light on the battery. The tool felt good im my hand, the plastic rubber molded case was of good quality. The "nose" of the tool, where it is likely to get abuse, was plastic. I think that is a design flaw. It is a plastic molded piece covering the rest of the cast alloy nose. It makes no sense.... The set included 17, 19, 20, 22 and 24 sockets and an extension... but they were pretty thin walled for an impact tool. (see photo). The trigger was super sensitive, so modulating the speed was tricky. The "nose" of the Finally, the push switch to change directions really felt cheap. It seemed loose in the housing. For now, until I put it to use taking off lug nuts, it will get 4-stars. Not confident enough at this point to give my corded tool away.
