Bought this impact to work with my existing Dewalt batteries to replace some rear coil springs. I have an air compressor and air impacts, but the noise they put off always has me using hand tools instead. Thought I'd give electric impacts a try, and I'm glad I did. As far as durability, I don't know if I will ever find out. I know it's not the same heavy duty quality that I would expect for the bigger brands price tag, and I am totally fine with that as I know I won't be using it often, occasional tire rotations and repairs, and it has more than enough power and torque for basic automotive needs. Did what I needed it to do, and didn't break the bank either. The only issue I encountered is the rubber protective boot slips off, if I was going to use it daily I'd probably try to use some sort of adhesive to hold it in place, but I'm not worried about it.

Great tool. Prefect for my application. Fits my other Dewalt batteries. I cant tell the difference between the OEM Dewalt impact tool and this one. Looks like they came out of the same factory.

Love the three torque settings options for tightening down the bolts, 550 lb ft, 750 and 950. 1000 lb ft for loosing bolts. Use the impact tool the day I received it. Love the durability, saves a lot of time on repairs, I love the design and the tool felt great on the hand. Compatible with my other Dewalt batteries 5AH, so I don’t have the need for purchase other batteries and charger.

3/4" drive Makita battery tool. This is a brute force tool for removing stuck nuts or bolts. BEWARE - I thought my wrench was broken when it continued to stop in the reverse mode. There is a setting where the wrench will run in reverse for only one second, or continuously. This is apparently to keep nuts from flying off during removal. I bought this tool primarily for removing "stuck" stuff, and it has worked great. If it can't unscrew the nut, it will just twist off the bolt! It is heavy if you plan on using it all day. The supplied belt clip is good for pulling your pants off! In forward it has three power settings. I usually use the low setting until snug, and finish the job with a torque wrench. Overall a good purchase.

Received this and the first thing I noticed was the weight. It's heavy and it has bad ergonomics, but I expected that from reading some of the other reviews. I popped a battery in and it seemed to function ok so I put it away. When I needed to use it a few months later it worked to remove a few lug nuts, but would only impact a few times per trigger pull before shutting down. Next up was an old, rusty stuck bolt. Killed a fully charged Makita 5 AH battery after about one minute of actual impacting. After going through two fully charged batteries in lest than 5 minutes I decided to roll out my air impact that is only rated for about 550 pounds and it broke it loose. I'd guess this cordless probably hits around 300-400 pounds based on how quickly the air impact broke the last nut loose. The one I received was junk.
