Ive been using this quite a bit for heavier automotive work. Pinion nuts, Differentials, Axles and related components. I find the reverse stop feature very useful for loosening. Powerful and decent battery consumption. Great bang for the buck. 30 day review.

Purchased for $79 during a special so not unhappy. Most importantly it works perfectly with my Dewalt 20v batteries because I don't need additional random batteries and chargers. Has 3 speeds for tightening but only one speed for removal. Auto stops when breaking lugs off as they loosen. This is tool only; no case or sprockets. Seems well made, heavy and durable feel.

I am using this almost exclusively for lug nut removals, and for that job it works fantastic. The reverse function can either take the nut completely off, or can stop when it senses the nut has no resistance (see manual). Works with my existing dewalt batteries, which was the main reason for purchase. Plenty of power to get the job done even on the lowest torque setting. The only negative I've found so far is that the supplied sockets fit quite snugly on the anvil, and one actually required me to use a center punch to remove it after use. I suspect this will alleviate given a number of uses, but it was quite a pain at the time. I'm not sure if it was the socket or the anvil, I used an existing lug socket that I have had for years and it went on and came off just fine. Overall, I'm very happy to have this and by the look and feel of it I expect it to give me years of service.

A reviewer gave this a one-star because they said they pulled the trigger and it stopped. This is completely normal if you read the description it says it has an auto stop. In the reverse mode you can turn this Auto stop on or off. When it is turned on and you're removing a bolt or nut etc it will Hammer until it breaks loose then stops. So in other words if you just hold the tool in front of you and pull the trigger in this mode it will start and stop instantly. This feature can be turned on or turned off in the reverse mode I find this feature to be awesome and works very well. If this is what the reviewer was talking about Awesome impact wrench for the price. Name brand impact wrenches to this same specs is at least three times in price. Being that it holds a name brand battery is great also. I find no faults with this works as advertised. Don't know about the amount of torque that it puts out it may be advertised a little higher than what it can do but I am not sure. But would definitely recommend the product, works awesome!!

First I tried with my 5amp (Dewalt) battery, pulled the trigger and let go, it seemed to work but as soon as I pressed the trigger down, it started then it stopped. It would not continue to spin (or work). I released the battery and put it back in, then tried again and it worked, so I thought it was a glitch. I removed the battery and tried with my 5amp power stack, nope, does the same thing, started and stopped. I removed the battery again and reinserted, same thing happened wouldn’t work. I also tried with an after market dewalt battery, and also doesn’t work. Seems like a lemon, so I returned it. Can’t trust this product, I’m just going to save up for a dewalt (961?).

I rarely ever write reviews but in this case I feel compelled to let others know that this is a great quality and high performing tool. I was skeptical that something at this price point can rival a $200+ name brand tool. I am pleasantly surprised. As one reviewer indicated, it will loosen the bolt but you can't keep the trigger pressed to remove it all the way. You have to keep pressing the trigger for 2 second bursts to continue rotation. No big deal as the main reason to own this is to loosen the super tight bolts for removal. Overall excellent tool with a very high quality finish and feel to it. Well balanced as well. Main reason I bought this is because of its compatibility with existing Dewalt batteries and it delivers on that front. I have no idea how it will stand up after 5-10 yrs of use but it looks just as well built as any other name brand tool. I would only be using this occasionally maybe couple of times a month on average so it should be fine. I just used it to loosen a couple of lawn mower blades and a spindle. The spindle nuts were so jammed it sheared all of them off which was fine for me since I'm replacing the unit with a new one anyways.
