  • Great Value
This bundle is a great value for the money. To buy all these items seperately would cost quite a bit more. I had one years ago, but my son broke it when we were moving. After shopping around, this was the best deal I found. Some nice improvements have been made to the newer model. Love it.

  • Not what picture show
I am very disappointed in what came. I got a sand bag of dry sand. The picture show a bag of sand that looks like live sand. It has manufacturer info on the bag. I had to go buy sand waste of money.

  • Not really helpful
The product itself the tank and stand are nice but all the extras are basically a rip off for the money spent. You need more than what was given. This company assumes everyone knows what needs to be done to set up a saltwater aquarium properly. The videos are garbage there are more helpful videos on YouTube. If they really wanted to help people they should take away alot of the items and just offer filter extras, sand and more importantly pre mixed saltwater! All the rest of that stuff defeats the purpose of having a simple basic tank for beginners. ... show more

  • Disappointed
I’d give 5 stars, but when you order 2 complete sets and they both come without sponges and the sand advertised that’s a fail. So 1 star is well deserved. These obviously weren’t missed and note stating something about shortage would go a long way with me. Anyone else getting tired of not getting what they paid for. It’s getting to be a new norm. I’ll change my tune if they send what I paid for, but I recommend taking your business elsewhere. I hate to leave a public review like this. Nuts! ... show more

  • I don't even know how I feel about this.
I've had this for nearly a year (purchased 4/2021 and now it's 3/2022. I successfully cycled it once and did the mistake they tell you not to - don't buy expensive fish/corals at first. Was so excited about seeing the interaction between clown fish and an anemone I bought both (two clown fish). It was fun trying to find the anemone just about every time I walked in the room. He/she just could not find a good spot to stay more than a few hours. I will blame what is probably substandard lighting on that (just a guess). Then I bought 4 more coral from a website that was selling "mystery" corals at $9.99 each. Corals generally run about $20 to thousands. I didn't expect thousand-dollar corals but i did expect corals that I could place without them dropping to the bottom of the tank = lost 3 of 4 that way - one of the fallen onces did continue to grow inside my reef so I let him be. Didn't find 2 of them ever again (we are talking abou 1/4" in diameter frags-impossible to work with) The 4th one was a very solid leather coral and I could get a grip on him and found a suitable place. After about 2 months everything just died - I have no idea why - salinity was fine - nobody looked ill but even the fish died. That was a $300 loss. Everybody said you need a protein skimmer. Great, something else to buy. There is only one protein skimmer made to fit into the 1st chamber of a 32 gallon Biocube. No idea how to install it so I read up on it. Problem was top wouldn't stay on and the lid wouldn't stay on. They would float off down into the depths of the biocube. Which brings up another problem - the thing, with the stand, is too tall. I'm 5'2" and I had to have a step stool to do anything and since I seemed to spend about 2 hours a day with water up to my arm pits searching for some media or protein skimmer part or coral I had MASSIVE bruising under my arms. After loosing the protein skimmer top completely the kind company sent me a new one free of charge. Nice people. I have it running now - but since there is nothing in the tank but rocks and sand there isn't any thing to go into the protein skimmer. If I do get the top and lid in place (which takes 10-20 tries) then the whole thing will fall apart the first time I check it and I'll spend another hour getting it back on. The water will go down to "min" about once per month (check it daily) and you have to assume it was due to evaporation. Salt doesn't evaporate so I fill it with about 4 gallons of RO/DI water that I've made myself. I will forever have two 20 gallon Brute trash cans in my kitchen (the only ones that are food safe) one bin holds the salt water the other bin holds the non-salt purified water (oh and getting that to work was a nightmare since I bought a portable one so I didn't have to keep it in my sink all the time or mess with my landlords plumbing. I think we went through about 20 different adaptors until we settled on 3 adaptors working together that would allow us to connect my Python (to fill my 90 and 50 gallon fresh water tank) as well as allow me to connect my RO/DI water system to as I needed it - Got sprayed about 10 times in the face from the leaking faucet and ill-fitting adaptors before we found a solution that worked. The only way it would work without spraying is to cover the entire adaptors set and part of the faucet in plumbers tape. It leaked after that but surprise surprise - the Gods must have been on my side and took pity because after 24 hours of the plumbers tape covering everything - NOTHING LEAKS. I thought that was a good sign. This all took me down to November/December and I was shopping online for gifts and doing all that Christmas stuff so the tank sat empty (sort of) - but it grew about 10 different kinds of algae in all the colors of the rainbow - it was really beautiful so I let it grow - harvested some for my freshwater fish - only one of my DoJo's liked it but that was OK. I found a bottle filled with a nasty smelling chemical that after about 4-5 days of application to the water killed off all the seaweed - so I'd plan to re-measure everything again and get started cycling the tank again. Well typically then something would come up with one of our freshwater tanks - like a $300 cannister filter leaking (the company keeps sending me more parts and I send more pictures telling the where the leak is and whatever they send doesn't work - so I don't really have that much time to devote to the Biocure and the seeweed has grown back again anyway. Oh I never talked about filter media for the back or "sump" area on the biocube is not very big so you really can't fit much filter media, as said before only 1 protein skimmer works and the only thermometer that will work is the kind I hate but I have to use it anyway because that is all that will fit. There isn't a lot of room for media in general = and since my set didn't come with anything I'm just using my knowledge or freshwater media to build up the media in my biocube. Ok sick of typing. This thing has become a very expensive albatross around my neck. I wish I had never bought it unless I had only paid half price or something - then it would be worth messing with. But I'm starting to feel like the company that makes these horrible tanks would start paying me by the hour as I try to get it to work. Today was going to be another day to start cycling the tank but I have so many birthdays and other things going on during the next two months I wonder if it's a good time to cycle the tank and if it's a good time for my pocketbook to shell out another $200 or so more to add fish and corals. OH AND HERE IS THE WORST PART: THE COOLEST SALTWATER FISH, THE ONES YOU ALWAYS WANTED WILL NOT FIT IN THIS TANK - THEY GROW TO BIG. So I hope your in this for the corals (I wanted both) because corals should be fine until you realize that some only want fans spraying at them in certain positions but they also need a certain position of light - and you have no way to accommodate that coral unless you get more/different lights and more fans. I have two standard fans that blow like crazy but the cords are too short to install on the other side of the biocube so both point the same direction. Plus I'm out of outlets and already have to dry my hair across the hall or I'll cause the breaker to trip for the other side of the house = which includes my oxygen concentrator because I forgot to mention I'm disabled and am on Oxygen 24/7 I cannot, under any circumstances get sick and be hospitalized because my saltwater tank will die (anybody can work on the fresh water tanks ) Just feeding all the coral and fish you pick out will be a nightmare because of all the particular needs of each species. Get as many "self-feeding" corals as you can and just occasionally give them real food and your life will be so much easier. Before buying a fish or coral research it to death so you know the max size and you know diet requirements and if they are poisonous to humans or just other corals and don't buy anything with spikes on it - no lion fish are in your future. And no seahorses are in your future either because they don't deal well with reefs. Best of luck. It really is a very clever design to pack this much into such a small place but they also are missing some things considered vital by most saltaquarium users - and that is space. I would say you really need one that's at least 100 gallons with a real sump and a real refugium just like real saltwater/reefers set up. It's very complex and after reading one book you'll give up any idea that you can have a saltwater tank in your home. Also unless you have at least 2-5 years working with Freshwater aquariums don't even think of trying this. There is a base of knowledge about aquariums and fish you need to have a lot of experience with before you even think of trying something this complicated. Without that basic knowledge I think you are going to be really lost with the terminology alone. Well GTG my 14" Dojo just ate the head off of one of my 10" dojo - so saltwater tank will have to wait for another day. Dead fish - especially Dojo give off two much ammonia both alive and dead so I need to get rid of the remains. and treat the tank for high levels of Ammonia. And this is a peaceful species. ... show more
