I got this product for my fiancé who started surfing last year and he loves it. Before this product he would step into a plastic bin and take off his wetsuit and keep the wetsuit in there for the car ride home so sand wouldn’t get everywhere and he could easily clean out the bin. The plastic bin was big and bulky whereas this product is compact and way to use. You just lay it on the ground and can step on it and change out of your wetsuit then the mat turns into a drawstring bag that keeps all the water and sand inside of it.     • versatile mat. easy to clean, but breaks down fast
I've had two of these and generally liked them. it's easy to use. super easy to clean. light weight, don't take up much space. and do a good job of keeping wet items inside. i wish it was a little sturdier though. the rings around the drawstring holes rust quickly. and the drawstrings also get bunched up in the mat, so it's difficult to fully spread out. if you use it daily like I do, it lasts about 3 months before it really starts to fall apart. I've never tried others so don't know how this stacks up, but will try some different brands to see if they are more durable. if you only go once a week or maybe once every two weeks, this will last you a couple of seasons. ... show more

Works as designed and does a good job of keeping sand/dirt outside of mat when raised a bit using the drawstring. Will update in a few months.

    • It does the job but no handles
It’s good as dry Bag, but it’s missing handles to carry it around and laces are way too long

    • Seems silly, but is nice
If you spend money on a nice wetsuit, it's nice not having to stomp on it and mash it into filthy parking lot pavement. This thing seems totally gimmicky, but I sprung for it after I got a Patagonia wetsuit (fancy) and saw how gross the wool stuff on the inside got when I'd step all over it trying to get it off in the parking lot/side of the road. Then I started thinking about how gross all my other wetsuits were, and how that stuff it against my skin for hours on end, blah blah blah I bought this thing and I feel like a more cleanly and organized adult-type person for it. It's better than a towel too because when you change on a towel it gets all wet and gross on the other side. This stays dry on the other side so you can toss it all neat like in your car. When I got mine the drawstring wasn't installed into the fasteners correctly, but that was easy for me to fix. ... show more

    • Have only used it once: not sure about durability, but does what I thought it would
Used it today for the first time and it functions like I thought it would, primarily like the fact that your wetsuit, booties and gloves can all be stored in it and easy to cary to the shower, without dripping all over the house, for a rinse post surf. Only drawback, for me at least, is the changing area is thin and does not provide any real insulation from the cold ground. I surf in the winter so a drawback for me but still works great and I will put something under it so my chilled feet don't get colder after a 3 hour session. ... show more
