I thought it was gonna be gray, it looks black to me. It doesn’t feel as solid as my last one( on floor) and is more plastic than material. Ok for the price but we will see how long it lasts. My old tan one is still good but the zippers are failing now! Its not that old- maybe 3 months at best

This backpack cooler has been pretty handy so far on short adventures where I am away from the house for a day such as trips to an outdoor festival or to the creek. At 12" wide, 8" thick, and 17" tall is can fit mostly places that a bigger cooler may be too bulky or overkill. The usable area for ice and chilled contents is about 14" deep with the upper sandwich/dry compartment being about 2" deep. I loaded a small 5lb bag of ice and a few drinks into the backpack around 7am, went to a festival where the cooler stayed in an unpowered and unshaded vehicle for about 6 hours, came back home and used the cooler for the rest of the day, and even at 9pm the cooler still had about half of the ice still remaining and the leftover drinks still ice cold. It may not completely replace the bigger, hard shelled competitors but for light use between 1 or 2 users trying to stay hydrated, it's about perfect! During its use i didnt see any leaks but i did notice that the cooler had some sweat built up on the bottom. In addition to the main and upper storage, it also has front compartments to store items like keys, wallets, phones, and other items you want to keep closeby. The velcro section with the American flag patch is also a very nice addition for customizability, and the included bottle opener is very nice too! Overall it's a great lightweight option for portability of cold beverages/snacks! Will definitely be using this again in the future.

Great cooler backpack that keeps ice and drinks cold all day. This is perfect for any hikes or picnics or even day trips in the car. The ice doesnt last longer than a day but for me that's usually all I need. The inside is leak proof so when the ice eventually turns to water it doesnt just leak all over the place, downside is then you just have a backpack of water that you have to deal with somehow. I tested filling it up with water and turning it upside down and it doesnt seem like the zippers are sealed that well so I wouldn't recommend laying this down if its full and try not to let it tip over. It's able to hold several bottles of drinks like gatorades + sandwiches + snacks. Overall this is a great backpack, 10/10 rating!

Grabbed this for my boat and couldn't be happier with it. It does a great job keeping drinks and food cold and doesn't take up a lot of room in the boat. If we decide to pull up to an island and get out for a picnic it's easy to carry around that's to the backpack straps. No leaks that I've seen and all the extra pouches are great for things like plastic knives and forks, napkins and small snacks for the kids. The velco patch is nice and the flag looks great, but not really needed, but it's a nice touch to allow you to customize your cooler, just make sure to keep hooks away from it as they can get snagged easily. Overall a great cooler for my boat. I will say that you'll need to open this thing up and let it air out for a bit. It did have a bit of a odor to it, but that's to be expected from something like this. Let it air out a few days and it was much better.

Factoid: 42) 12oz cans weigh approx. 35 pounds. Double cooler is somewhat a misnomer. The available space in the coolers is split about 85/15, designated wet/dry. The imbalance is obvious in the pictures. In the dry, there are 2 sandwiches and 4 mini donuts. In the wet, there are 42* cans of drinks. (So lunch is a sandwich, 2 donuts and 21 cans of soda? What is this, high school?) A 65/35 would be a better split.** The bottom needs to be tall enough for wine. A couple of elastic straps on the inside would be nice. *If there's 12 cans in a layer, how is the total 42? **I'll just use a smaller soft side cooler and drop it inside. The pack is strong, structurally. The straps are sturdy. The cooler is leak proof. You have to lift the dry compartment to access the wet compartment. As a large soft side cooler, it's moderately well done. I got it for picnics and family dinners. The cooler's shape is great for casserole and storage containers. The various pockets accommodate plates, utensils, etc. The straps on top can hold a blanket. It's ideal for hikers and cyclists who seek remote locations. I want to give this a 5 but I feel there was so much focus on beer can capacity that it overshadowed some practical applications.
