  • DOA ,Broken Pump, Awful Support, Waste of Time.
Color: ML 240
This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. When it arrived (see pictures) I was worried something would be wrong as it looks directly like a defective product that was returned then shipped out again without even testing. I'm sure once I return this, some sucker will purchase it again, only to fall into the same wasteful routine of myself. Not only was the pump broken (I've tried in every fan slot and cannot get a reading for RPM.) I spent a good three hours fitting together parts that could have been assembled at the factory. After a good 3 hours of trying to adjust my motherboard, screws, and read through whatever rigged up asinine product manual drawn by a caveman from before the advent of Christ that was given to me. I finally got it installed. Turned my on PC. Suddenly in the BIOS I'm at a toasty 70C trying to plug the pump into a fan slot to get a reading (what a waste of time!!) After reading through several, also just as awful, help topics on Cooler Master's forums I sent in a help ticket. That's right folks. In the year 2020 when you pay $100 for a product you don't even get the option to talk to a live representative. You have to enter a ticket queue waiting days for someone to reply. I don't have days, I need to use my computer for work So I spent another 30 minutes taking this broken hub of scrap off my PC. I decided to put my old fan back on. It didn't take me anywhere near close to 3 hours of pure frustration like this product did. I have to say, I will NEVER purchase another product from COOLER MASTER. I would just assume bury my money in the ground and wait for it to grow into a money tree. As an added bonus for their awful support I don't know if someone wasn't competent to renew the domain 'coolermaster.force.com' but every help topic forum you'll end up in getting a response saying "go check out this nonexistent domain for the answer." To reiterate and put things bluntly. Don't buy this, don't buy a COOLER MASTER product ever, if you want to waste your time and money that badly PM me and I'll give you my BTC address. ... show more

  • Extremely loud
Color: ML 240
Sound: I'm not one to complain about fan noise. I've never bothered checking the noise rating on any fans or coolers I've ever bought. I wear headphones, so I figure what's the point. My music will drown them out. Well not with this cooler. I've had air conditioners quieter than these radiator fans. It sounds like someone is using a chainsaw outside my house. My girlfriend in the living room told me to close the door to my office because my computer was too loud. I've tried everything I can think of to shut them up. I've verified they aren't scraping against any wires. Visually inspected that they aren't scraping against their housing. Tightened the screws. Loosened the screws. Swapped which header they're connected to on the motherboard. So far the only thing thats worked is turning up the volume of the music in my headphones so loud that it finally drowns out the obnoxious electrical whine/whirring coming from these cursed fans. Mounting system/Easy of install: Be careful when mounting not to scrape against anything. I scraped the bottom of the heatsink on the CPU and it made little bits of copper dust go all over my motherboard. I spent quite a while cleaning those out so I wouldn't shortcircuit my motherboard. Never had that happen before with a cooler either. ... show more

  • Was a beeyatch to install until I thought about it. Now that it's on I'll give it 5 Stars.
Color: ML 120
Read reviews about the hokey clips needed for my AM4 cpu. Seemed like it was no big deal. It's not, once you figure it out. If you're used to attaching one clip, seating the cpu, then attaching the other you'll end up wrong. Don't attach either clip. Simply center the heat sink flush onto the cpu. Attach one clip..tighten it a little...attach the other clip...tighten it a little...tighten the other side....then tighten the other side. And..ONE MORE THING!!! Don't forget to peel the plastic cover off the copper heatsink face. I knew I needed to do it. Planned on doing it. But didn't do it because I wanted to wait until just the last moment to remove it to ensure the copper face didnt' get jacked up. Thankfully my setup wasn't fully seated or the dang thing would have been vulcanized onto the heatsink and or cpu. This thing is keeping my Ryzen 2400g at around 27 degrees C. idling. And unlike the included Wraith fan this doesn't obstruct the ram slots. ... show more

  • Cools the CPU better than expected. Awesome for the money.
Color: ML 120
The Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 is awesome at keeping my AMD FX 8350 at a very cool 12C at idle and never goes over 53C at full load. I'm not an overclocker but this AIO watercooler would be good for overclocking. I did have one problem with the install. The pump is quite large and with the large hose connectors there is very little clearance when it comes to the RAM and power regulators. I know I could have completely replaced the mounting hardware but I didn't want to completely tear down my system to do that, but everything worked out and the hoses just barely cleared the RAM. If you have the time and energy I recommend completely replacing the standard AMD mounting hardware and install Cooler Masters hardware. You'll have way more chose as to which way the hose connectors on the pump face. ... show more

  • Excellent AIO value
Color: ML 240
The Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 is a no-nonsense value-priced dual-fan AIO cooler. The AIO pump gurgles a little bit on startup but quickly settles into very quiet operation. I replaced the original fans with third-party units but the Cooler Master 120mm fans are pretty good quality, with nice touches such as anti-vibration pads. It comfortably fits into a micro-ATX case with tight clearances. It's a walk in the park for this Cooler Master 240mm AIO with a 65W TDP CPU. The acoustics are superb because neither the AIO pump nor the radiator fans need to run at 100% even during a Handbrake encode or CPU-Z stress test. I wish more AIO manufacturers offer no-nonsense models such as this Cooler Master SKU. ... show more
