I am 5'9" 160 and I took a chance on getting the size small. I am glad I did. The sweater is very warm and has lots of stretch. If you would like this to look like the guy in the picture I would recommend the small if you are built like me. It hugs the arms and chest nicely and the neck is not loose and floppy.
