Once the child will no longer fit into the removable baby seat the harness will no longer work. My grandson is 16 mo old. I initially took the baby seat out and was upset to find that the shoulder straps would not hold. I have put the baby seat back into the high chair, the straps now hold and will see if he fits in the next time he comes. In the paper work it is noted that this chair is for a 6mo to 36 mo child. At what point would you stop placing the harness on a child? I don't believe the baby seat or rather small harness would fit a 36 mo old. Other than that problem I find the chair folds and cleans very easily and the tray works well. I would stress that it is important to get all the screws in very tightly when you are assembling. If not it is wobbly. Properly fastened it is quite sturdy. In our situation even with the tray on, the chair sits up close to the table with the tray overlapping the table. Thus the child feels part of the "party" and that makes it easier for the parent. One thing to consider is the height of the table and whether or not there will be enough room for the child's legs to go underneath, especially when using as a booster seat. From the floor to the top of the seat of the chair it is 24". If the height of the legs adjusted that would be a big plus but of course the chair would have to be more expensive. One caution (and glad to see it in the literature) is that you need to be aware that a child could use his feet to push away from the table and topple over. A number of the reviews are for a different high chair. Be aware of that.

Used for child over 1. Tired of cleaning the ones with fabric and get stained. This is nice as you can use the tray and also pull right up to the table for a child use wants to engage with everyone. Cleans up nicely. Does fold completely flat but does fold. The tray stores behind the legs which is another nice feature. It wipes down nice and clean. Would definitely recommend!!! My son loved it so much at our house his wife bought one for their home as the new highchair.
