The chuck taylor high tops are a classic shoe for a reason. They have a distinct look, are simple, good for most any style or look and they honestly aren't crazy expensive the way some other shoes can be. I didn't want to buy a cheap imitation or an off brand shoe that clearly is biting from this style but might fall apart within 2 months. I wanted the real shoe. These are every bit the shoe you know it is and worth every penny. I had to wait because there were issues with it being in stock, I got the regular black and white shoe. I checked every other day when it would be available and it must've been about a month before it finally was available and then I had to wait almost a week for it to ship so there might not be 2 day shipping available for this shoe. The wait was worth it. I ordered a size 9 and it didn't run large or small, it fit perfectly. No issues with feet pain, nothing falling apart, just a good shoe for 50/60 bucks that is worth the money.

The shoes fit great like the old days but the USPS worker put it in a wrong parcel box and thank goodness another Amazon worker was there to help me navigate where they were ( totally wrong box assigned) so I'm relieved because these aren't cheap! Props to the Amazon worker!!

Converse Chuck Taylors aren't just another pair of shoes to me - they're part of who I am. If someone were to describe me, they'd probably mention the hats, the tattoos, and the Chuck Taylors. I've worn them for so long that I still own pairs that are older than some adults. They aren't a trend for me. They're just... my shoes. What I've always loved is that they somehow look great at every stage of their life. They look amazing fresh out of the box, they develop incredible character as they wear in, and somehow they still look cool when they're held together by memories and sheer determination. I've climbed mountains in Chuck Taylors. I've gone on long hikes in Chuck Taylors. I've directed world-class athletes while wearing Chuck Taylors. I even wore them to my wedding because, honestly, why wouldn't I? They go with everything, they're instantly recognizable, and they never stop feeling like *me*. I genuinely can't imagine my life without a pair of Chuck Taylors by the door. They're more than sneakers - they're part of me.

The Chucks are great. This is my second pair of Converse but my first high tops. Purchased these for weightlifting. They're lightweight and run true to size. I'm able to lace these up tightly so my feet don't move around in my shoes while I'm lifting, and the high top gives me more support at the ankle, which is nice for squats. The tread is grippy. I'm sure I'll wear these in more places than just the gym, as Chucks are versatile shoes. My one issue with this order has nothing to do with the product; I actually ordered these shoes twice. I got a notification the day my first order was supposed to arrive telling me the package had been "damaged in transit." Amazon's policy required me to take a refund and re-order the shoes instead of just sending me another pair. I'm willing to believe there's some logic to that, but it did take me about two weeks to get the shoes. I—unbelievably—had no luck finding a red pair of high tops in my size in local stores or even on other websites... except Zappos, which Jeff Bezos *also* owns. Annnnnnd Zappos cost $5 more, so... Jeff Bezos gets my money again, albeit $5 less than what he could have gotten. This is my mea culpa for giving Jeff and Lauren Bezos my money. My we all overcome our need for getting exactly what we want for the least amount of money in an absurdly short timeframe—all of which is killing this planet and humanity. May god have mercy on our souls. But yeah, nice Chucks.
