Purchased these for our flat footed 21 month old. We ordered a size up for him to grow into and he still walks really well in them without tripping over his own shoes. We'd noticed that in cheaper shoes we were putting him in, he'd trip over the shoe itself, even if it were the appropriate size. These have worked great for him. My husband complains of the tongue of the shoe sliding and disappearing into the shoe while our son wears them but I've told him time and again that it's the downside of flat feet... it's just the way it is for us so I can't really call that a complaint.
