  • Shh best value
Color: Black Size: 700x28
I've been riding these for years now, I also have gp5000s for special stuff but these are a hidden gem! Quality and just a hair more rolling resistance and wt. Amazing trade off for the price. Put a set of latex tubes in there or even tpu and they will surprise you.

  • Genuine Continentals, Excellent Performance
Color: Black Size: 700 x 23
Smooth and supple for minimal rolling resistance. Comes folded in a box. This set came with 2 tires packaged individually and wrapped together in an outer clear bag. Love the all-black look (as opposed to colored walls on other tires). The lettering is gray with yellow accents. and appears only once on each side of the tire. Has clear markings of size, PSI, and BAR. Also bears the e25 badge, indicating it's rated to use with e-bikes with a 16-25mph speed rating. Rolling resistance of just 14.1 watts and excellent wet surface grip make this an excellent tire for the price, and a good all-around performer for enthusiasts and commuters. I just put them on my bike, and it feels like a big upgrade! (Vs. my older Vittorio Saffiro.) ... show more

  • Great value tires
Color: Black Size: 700x25
Great value, durable tires. These have held up well for the last year, and provide a comfortable ride. I haven’t had any punctures so far, so high marks for durability during normal road use. I am surprised by the quality of the compound- the tires retain good grip/traction during wet conditions.

  • 3000 Mi+ on Texas Roads
Color: Black Size: 700x28
These tires have been excellent. I've only had one flat in over 3000 miles of riding on crappy Texas roads, and it was a pinch flat due to running too low a pressure. I spend a fair bit of time riding on the shoulder of busier roadways where there are lots of rocks and glass, and it honestly doesn't phase the Ultra Sports. I'm about 185lbs, my bike is about 21 lbs and I run the 700c X 28 at around 80 PSI. They are still not the most comfortable tire, but they are super durable. My friend's bikes with GP5K's definitely feel faster and more comfortable, but they are often replacing tires due to damage. The slightly higher rolling resistance hasn't stopped me from achieving many top 10's and KOM's on local Strava segments. Sure I COULD be faster with GP5K's but with the Ultra Sports I literally do not worry about the road surface. Heck I've even done a fair bit of gravel riding on them, and while they suck at that, they never punctured. Would recommend these to anyone who wants a decently quick and cheap puncture resistant tire. ... show more

  • Very tight but they will go on. Good light tire at a reasonable price.
Color: Black Size: 700x25
This seems like a good light tire; it seemed noticeably faster on a 40 mile ride yesterday. I'm a casual rec rider with a flatbar road bike and was using heavier 28mm tires for my first olympic distance aquabike (20 mile ride after a 1500 meter swim) last fall. I was hoping to go a little faster/lighter on my upcoming second one in May, without putting too much money into it, and was happy with them on my first ride. I'm glad I read the other reviews; the tires are tight enough that I might have wondered if I had somehow ordered the wrong size!!! If you are having trouble getting them on, don't pull out the screwdriver like the one guy said! If you've only changed 4 or 5 tires in your life and aren't particularly strong, they are tight enough that I wouldn't be shocked if you needed take them to the local bike store for help. At the same time, I'm over 60 and actually managed to get the second one on using just my hands. But I have good technique. (Not sure who showed me this trick but sit and hold the wheel flat in your lap, with the first easy part near your belly and then work away from you, so that -- for that last seemingly impossible bit -- you can extend your arms, curl your fingers over the tire and rim, and roll the last little bit of tire over the rim with the heels of both hands at once. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never do it another way, although tire irons are still sometimes needed. If you do need tire irons -- I did for the first one -- it is conceivable that you'd snap a very thin light one.) It seemed to me that -- probably since the tire came folded up in a bo -- the bead stretched out a tiny bit with time, making it easier to get on if you are patient. More thinking, less muscle. Stretch the tire 95% of the way on --- to that point where the bead is stretched incredibly tight and you think there is "no way" it will go--- and leave it that way for a minute or two, stretched very tight. This seemed to loosen up a bit. During that pause, I was considering taking it off, using spit on the rim of the wheel and the tire edge, to see if that would allow the sticky rubber to slip over the edge of the rim more easily, without tearing the rubber a little. But it turned out that that pause to consider that idea seemed to help the tire stretch out a tiny little and I got it on, first time using a tire iron to help, the second tire using bare hands. It's certainly might be the morst most difficult tire that I've ever put on -- or a close tie with one or two others. It was good to know from other reviews that others had trouble getting them on; this let me know that I wasn't crazy, and that it would eventually go on. Normally I can change a tire in a minute or two, and this one definitely took at least another minute or two. ... show more

  • Better than 23c tire
Color: Black/Brown Size: 700x28
The media could not be loaded. It is looking good and fit well. I changed 23c to 28c. It just left 0.5cm gap between frame and tire. It is wider and smoother. You can ride lower psi than 23c tire. You must check your wheels spec first !!
