After far too long a break from playing, my wife and I were recently able to get her an electric piano so she could once again play. She has been away from it for a few decades, so needing something she could at once play, enjoy for the music, and get back into the swing of playing, we found this Contemporary Disney: 50 Favorite Songs (Piano-vocal-guitar) along with a book on classical music. Each offering their own rewards. Now, she played in through high school and into college but as life does, dropped away, so she is an adult coming back to things. She had found this Contemporary Disney: 50 Favorite Songs (Piano-vocal-guitar) to be well done and allows her to already come up to speed on much of the music here. While she continues to get her feet under her, she is finding music here to practice and help. The fact that it’s Disney music makes it all the more fun - we are both Disney fans. In the end, she’s still getting things back up and going, but already finding this Contemporary Disney: 50 Favorite Songs (Piano-vocal-guitar) to be a joy. She is happy to recommend it. ... show more

I am really enjoying this book! It has a really good selection of songs with a lot of really nice arrangements . I would agree with others that this is not a book for beginners. I'm 36 and have played piano since I was 5. I found that some songs I could sight read, some just took a couple times to play through to get it and some took a little work to be able to play. For me that is exactly what I look for in a piano book that is for my enjoyment. I also liked the fact that while I do enjoy singing as I play, this music sounded great on it's own as well. My only complaint is that a few of the songs are the pop version rather than the movie versions. Overall if you are a fan of Disney music and looking for something enjoyable with a little bit of challenge I highly recommend this book. ... show more

If your child loves music and Disney; this is the perfect piano book. Our toddler loves music and loves when dad plays. The book is very durable and good printing.

    • Great for beginners, great to play with kids
I'm a self taught beginner and I can play these songs with ease. I like that the chords are written out - it makes it easier for me to play. When I play these songs my kids love to mellow out, sit down and listen because they are familiar with the songs. Sometimes they sing along!! Definitely buy this book! ... show more
