I am concerned at the possible difficulty of uncurling it when it is placed into service. Because of the length (100') and the thickness, it is heavy (probably about 35-40 pounds)

Nice cord!
Cord is as described and seems to be very good quality. The bright yellow color is very visible while lying on the ground and I really like the heavy duty molded connectors on both ends. The cord is very heavy so make sure you're ready for that.

Definitely feels heavy duty
I would have given it 5 stars if it were priced a little lower. I bought a used version from Amazon and saved a few bucks that way, but still all of these longer generator extension cords seem way overpriced. I connected it to my generator and house inlet and it powered my house so it is doing its job. Like another reviewer wrote it is a little heavy but that should be expected at 100 ft of 4 strands of 10 gauge wire. I also like the yellow color for visibility. It feels heavy duty and substantial.

Connects my emergency generator to my home circuit breaker box.
I bought a portable natural gas generator for emergency use. I was concerned because my generator and circuit breaker box are 80 feet apart. This generator cord solved my problem and was approved by my master electrician who is very experienced in backup electricity.
