Description

We engineered shaped skis to make skiing easier and more fun for everyone. A wide nose and tail make it easier to get up and out of the water on deep water starts. Narrow Width underfoot keeps them responsive and playful. This concept is downsized to make the super sport pair. Smaller, lighter skiers will gain confidence and enjoy the ride more on properly sized gear. Jr. Size heel-slide adjustable bindings fit most kid's feet giving them more control of the ski. Beginners can use the front stabilizer bar to keep the skis in line and the proper distance apart.

  • These waterskis finally got my 9 year old up!
After a couple years of my daughter trying unsuccessfully to get up on other "beginner skis", behind our inboard boat, we were about to throw in the towel. We are a water sports family and slalom ski, wakeboard, and wakesurf weekly. We tried multiple different skis, ropes, etc and could not get her up on skis. We even pulled out my first set of skis I learned on 40 years ago and drilled holes in the front and tied them together. Finally a friend told us about beginner skis which were wider and helped her kids get up for the first time. My 9 year old wanted to ski so badly but just could not get it. As a last ditch effort we purchased these skis for her. We had someone in the water to assist her getting up as always. We got her up for about 50 feet on her very first pull on these skis - improvement. By her 5th pull she was up for about a minute and a half. A couple pulls later she was up without assistance from anyone in the water. With the included plastic bar between the these skis all it took was about 7-8 pulls on these skis and she could get up, and stay up, every time. It has been a month since we purchased these skis and she decided she was ready to remove the plastic bar holding the skis together. The plastic bar provides a significant amount of stabilization yet still allows the skis to move inward and outward albeit with much more resistance than normal. You cannot tilt the skis to make cuts with the bar attached between the skis so my daughter could not get out of the wake and she really wanted to try cutting in and out. The bar also helps the child hold the skis straight when waiting for the boat to pull her up. I was worried she would be unable to get up and stay up without the bar. I reluctantly removed the bar at her request and she still got right up and stayed up - every time. With the bar removed from the skis she was able to cut in and out of the wake which she loved. She stays up for a good 20 min before she tires. I was initially pulling her about 16mph and she has already progressed to 18mph (while way too slow for an adult, this speed is really fast for a small/light 9 year old beginner on 2 skis). Even at 18mph she is still telling me to go faster because she wants the wake to be more narrow and cleaner so she can cut across it a bit more easily. These skis gave her the confidence and ability to get up and learn to ski. We are super happy with this purchase. I highly recommend these skis for a beginner child. ... show more

  • Kids are skiing!
Just used them once so far, but totally worth it. Both kids got up right away (6 and 10)! Tried several other styles last summer, but my daughter was too tall (and long feet) for the kid size skis. I thought this set of skis would be too big for my 6 year old but he also got up the first time - so proud of both of them! The skis with the stabilizer look too wide for my son’s natural standing stance. We plan to drill another hole in the stabilizer so we can adjust the skis closer together. Super excited that this set has bindings for slalom skiing - I think my daughter will be ready to drop a ski by the end of the summer. ... show more

  • Great little skis but the screw rips out of the attacher when kids fall down
Great skis- 9 year old was up the first time. Feet are a little big for my 7 year old but perfect for my 9yo, I may use them myself (female adult) they are a nice size for women under 140lbs. The screw ripped out the 2nd time we used them on the lake when my son was skiing. He hit the wake from another boat, the ski tips went under that wave and he did a face plant. Came up fine and skiis fell off but the screw was gone forever. It was on tightly too. Otherwise seem like good quality skiis and they are comfortable to wear. ... show more

  • PERFECT size!
If your child is a little too big for the 48" beginner skis that are everywhere, these are a MAJOR step up, but not so big that a kid can't use them like a 60" teen ski is. My son is 11 and weighs about 93 lbs. He couldn't get up on the 48" and I decided it was because they were too small. The next weekend he got right up with these with the bar in place. We stayed at the lake that week on vacation. By the end of the week he had dropped a ski and slalomed all the way around the lake! OUTSTANDING!!!!! ... show more

  • Perfect size for a 9 year old!
Bought theses for our 9year old granddaughter as her feet were slipping out of our full size skies. The removable bar was just the trick to get her up on the second try. Take care with the thumb screws that attach the bar. I did not and dropped one in the lake....that ended that weeks lesson. I called Connelly and they quickly sent a replacement at no charge! We have 5 younger grandchildren so these trainers will be kept busy for years to come! ... show more

  • Great skis for kids to learn on
Both of my kids quickly learned to ski with these. The included bar was awesome for them keeping their skis together and we only used that bar for the first time or two and then its never been touched again. Now onto trying to drop a ski. These provided exactly what we were looking for.

  • Up on the first attempt!
These skis worked great with my 7 year old son! He got up on his first attempt and every attempt thereafter. We even removed the stabilizer bar after awhile and he was successful on those attempts as well. He likes to use the stabilizer bar as he feels extremely confident and puts on a show (touching the water with his hand, skiing one handed, bouncing, and more)! ... show more

  • These skis were very easy for the children to learn how to ski
These skis were very easy for the children to learn how to ski. Both children who tried it (ages 11 and 9) got up and skied on their second try. Having them bolted together eliminated the frustration that normally accompanies teaching children to ski.
