The media could not be loaded. Ok people I bought this ski to get me back on the thing that I love to do. After some health issues over the last three years which kept me from getting back on, it was killing me. We went to the lake today and I want to say it is a great ski even tough it is bigger than my double full boot Obrien by the end of my third run I had it under control. The front boot is comfortable with no issues the rear slip also hold your foot well. BTW I am 64 years old. Up date The finger holes tore out of the front boot and found out from Connelly that there isn't a replacement or upgrade. I am trying to get a hold of Amazon for either a return or replacement the Return Window closed the day it happened so hopefully I will hear from someone . Update I know Connelly states that they do not have a replacement binding but they do if you have a screwdriver and a little ability to swap a binding. I bought the Connelly Front Adjust Velcro Slalom Binding from Miami Nautique which arrived this afternoon. I thought why would a company build an adjustable binding just for one item so I order it and guess what they don't. All I did was remove the binding from the aluminum mounting plate and used it to replace my torn binding. I have not looked but I think this item is also sold by Amazon and as an added note it took me 30 minutes to swap it out looking forward to get back on it. ... show more

Large surface area for deep water starts! Exactly what I needed to enjoy skiing again!! If you are over 200lbs and are having trouble getting up on 1 ski, then this is the ski for you! I’m impressed that I’m able to still cut hard and carve!

My cousin bought one of these a while ago. He let me use it one time and I loved it. I bought my own and just had it out a couple of weeks ago. I pop out of the water a lot faster and easier than with the regular ski. Im a 220lbs man with a 10 1/2 foot size and it works very well for me. I've seen a couple of bad reviews on here about this ski, let me say this, no product is guaranteed to be perfect. This item may be perfect while the one just like it might be a bit defective. That's just bad luck. I love this ski. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. Oh and one other thing, I love it. It also has a spot on the fin to add a stabilizer too if you like. ... show more

    • Front Adjustable Binding
Took out the Big Daddy ski for the first time last weekend, (March 11th, 2023). When new, the Front Adjustable Binding is really stiff and hard to get into. Plus the Adjustable Binding being on the front makes it extra hard to adjust when in the water and trying to get the binding tight. Will see after several uses if it gets more flexible and easier to adjust the tightness while in the water. Will write another review if Amazon lets me later on as a follow-up, update. ... show more

When I bought this ski I was @ a personal high of 221lbs; since then over the COVID Summer I dropped 20 and the ski is still awesome. The wide footprint allows for an easy lift off - in better shape I can start out on one ski . The fit and finish are fine as is the front boot. My only complaint is that if this ski is designed for us full figure lineman why is the rear boot so small And narrow. Even my son 19 and 2 sizes smaller foot had a hard time with it . I slipped a baseball inside and it stretched it nicely... best ski I found for the $; this from A life long O’Brien owner/rider... ... show more

I am a 215 lbs beginner waterskier, bought Big Daddy this summer and absolutely love it. Technically speaking this is my second ski. First one I tried was HO Freeride but I quickly discovered it was wrong for me. It has a hard front boot that will hold onto your foot if you fall which is inevitable when you are new to the sport. Big Daddy is awesome because it has rubber boot that your foot slips out of when you go down. Some will say it's not a performance ski which is true but my goal was to make wide comfortable turns and generate lots of splash - mission accomplished with this one. Plus I can do it at pretty low speeds around 25 mph resulting in additional comfort. ... show more

This ski will get you out of the water! It has been 40 years since I water skied last. This ski got me out of the water first time, on very shaky legs. I felt the price was good, and the ski is a good ski.
