I bought many ear and nose trimmers over the years and nothing has come close to this trimmer. I still can’t figure out why nobody has come up with anything better than those rotary blade ones that barely work. This cut every hair in site, down to the bottom. I’ve only had to use it once because it works so close. The only suggestion I have is to make the markers for opening and closing visible. See photo. ... show more

this works really well. i've used it twice. i'm pretty excited about it, actually- which is kinda sad, but I really am. i'm not sure what the durability will be because it looks plasticky...but I've been sorely disappointed with other rotary nose hair trimmers that I've tried over the years. those have gone into the trash quite quickly. prior to this, my go-to has been a norelco 5000 (which is a slide cutter nose trimmer) which has worked pretty well and continues to work since 2018. This item is a 10/10 so far- it navigates my nares well and cut the hairs with only minimal passes. i highly recommend it. ... show more

I’ve tried more nose trimmers than I care to admit, and most of them feel like cheap plastic toys that tickle more than trim. This one is different. The motor has real power and doesn’t stall out when you get to thicker stuff. No pulling, no snagging, and it handles business fast. The main trimmer is great. Pretty lightweight and portable. You click it on, circle around the inside of your nose a couple of times, and you're done. Simple and painless. I don’t really use the eyebrow or detail attachments, though. They’re fine, but not something I reach for. Overall, this is the first nose hair trimmer I’ve used that feels like it’s made for adults who actually expect something to work. Very lightweight, but powerful motor. Uses completely guarded rotary blade, cuts much closer to skin than any other I’ve tried, but it is very loud when doing ear opening, & I’m hard of hearing! Easy to use, don’t have to worry about trying to achieve awkward angles to cut the hair. Unlike flat-blade cutters, no nicks & scratches with this one. I've used 6 different brands of Nose/Ear Hair Trimmers (including manual Groom Mate which is 15 years old & still working fine), & I consider this Conair to be the best. ... show more

The "lithium" powered trimmer is no different than the original trimmer. The only difference is that the new version comes with a lithium AA battery. So, you can easily use a regular alkaline battery instead. In fact, travelling you may want to switch to an alkaline battery because TSA doesn't like lithium batteries in checked luggage. They may or may not care but you don't want to find out while you're travelling. Works great! I've tried several nose hair trimmers and most are worthless and pinch. This is a different design that works far better without the pinching and pulling of hairs. For some reason it is difficult to find on Amazon unless you search for it.

I have used several nose-hair trimmers over the years and they all performed similarly. I have never found them effective and end up taking a scissors to cut the hairs. While looking for a rechargeable grooming tool (Mostly I was looking for a nose hair trimmer), I was presented with an assortment of tools, some of them not rechargeable. Why Amazon lists options I am specifically NOT looking for still peeves me, but in this (very rare) case, Amazon won and I purchased a product out of curiosity. Two brands of the nose hair trimmers had distinctly different heads and I wondered what the difference is and if one is better a better design for cutting than the other. Intrigued, I bought one of each, and tested them both. Other brand rechargeable Round Head Trimmer: On the plus side for the round head trimmer, it IS rechargeable. There is a light to indicate charging, but no battery level indicator. The attachments are easily removed, and can be rinsed under running water. Also on the plus side, the detail trimmer attachment works well. The nose hair trimmer works... but not as well as I would like. On the down side, the handle was thick and bulky. Although still maneuverable, the thickness of the handle made it a little awkward in the hand. The cap did not want to stay on, nor (as is reasonable) would it fit over the trimmer attachment. The round head nose hair trimmer, although it worked, was not very efficient and took a very long time running it around my nostril before I was somewhat satisfied that it got as much as it could . ConairMan Trimmer: On the down side of this nose hair trimmer, It is not rechargeable, costs more, is more noisy and the attachment that it came with (specifically the foil shaver) was a little disappointing when it came to function. The nose hair attachment is very tight, and was difficult to twist off for rinsing or tool swap. Also (as is reasonable) there is no cover for the attachment that came with it. On the plus side for this one, the nose hair trimmer was remarkably more efficient and a lot faster than the round head rechargeable. from the sound of things, it also cuts closer; even finding the nubs the rechargeable left behind in the other nostril. (Judging by the sounds, the round head found nothing on the reciprocal test.) The Cap stays put on the ConairMan nose hair trimmer, and the slimmer handle is less awkward in the hand. Although the detail trimmer attachment was adequate, the foil shaver side failed every test I gave it except for ease of cleaning; failing even to take care of the "nubs" left by the detail trimmer. Overall: While both have their plusses and minuses, The ConairMan nose hair trimmer with the mushroom head (I Feel) blew the rechargeable round head nose hair trimmer out of the water as far a cut goes on the nose hair trimmer. Which one you choose totally depends on what YOU need. I hope this head to head helps. (Pardon the pun) Although I have avoided mentioning other brands or models, I don't believe Amazon is fond of head to head reviews, so I hope this is posted. Whichever brand or model you choose...
